Confidentiality/Privacy is important to me. What steps do you take to protect your confidentiality (esp but not limited to "online")? If you prefer not to discuss openly, feel free to PM me, I can also provide you another means to txt not on this site if you prefer, just ask - thanks gents

If you want to make it hard to be identified:

Create new email address which not linked to any other address or identifiable items, like your physical address or phone number.

Use that new one consistently for all your escort discussions, RM membership etc. Etc.

Then create a new google account with that email.

Then create new “google voice” account which gives you a new phone number.

Don’t invite an escort at home unless you are certain the provider will not cause any trouble.

Don’t tell escorts your real name (they don’t tell you theirs, after all).

When asked your date of birth (e.g. here), do not provide the correct date.

If you even want to hide your IP address, well that is a lot more work....

On social media, ... well, avoid apps, it is a mess to keep separate 2 accounts on the same phone. Really, very hard for the app to have access to your contacts with one account, but not with the other.

The above will give you privacy against snoopers and people who are good at searching the internet, but not against a police investigation sanctioned by a judge. For that, you will need higher grade tech knowledge which I don’t have, and I think don’t need.

When asked your date of birth...

I'm having a hard time picturing a scenario in which someone would think this was an ok question to ask....

But I should say that one can give this info out without even realizing it. Even people who would react poorly if ask for a birth date will gladly reveal their birthday and how old they are at different times without putting them together.

I want to say I remember reading the vast majority of Americans can be personally identified from just their birth date, gender, and zip code.

Instead of "google voice" (since that would be too technically advanced for me), I bought a TracFone a couple of years ago for a separate phone number. Paid cash for it, and pay cash for the cards to renew it, or add minutes and data. It also allowed me to create a separate gmail address through the TracFone. Although, I do read, write, and respond to emails via that gmail address associated with the TracFone using my laptop or iPad (while in private mode). As I write this, I wonder if I'm compromising my privacy doing so. I hope not, but I'm not a prolific writer of emails to escorts.

I don't have any social media presence, and never remain signed into that gmail account.

Whether it is ok or not, we say happy birthday right here all the time. How do you think we know? Because this site, (and rentmen and others) asks for your date of birth when you create the account. It is very common online.

Someone like her?

Oh wait, she's fictional. C'mon fellas, there is no privacy anymore. Even Steve Bannon can't hide his identity no matter how many passports he gets.

Thanks Tarte, so far that's the things I have done.

I also have a whatsapp account linked to my "fake" email

?? on Google Voice, you just link it to a fictional number?

FYI not looking to evade a criminal investigation, just protect my identity from the providers (and on sites like this)

Thanks again for the advice

Actually you are right, my google voice currently links to my normal cell. So there is a link.

It means that I trust Google they won’t mess up, and keep that to themselves.

As some others said, apparently you can get a burner phone at Best Buy, paid cash etc , that would avoid the above link but cost you a bit more.

I use January 1 and the correct year of my birth for anything online at all, including escort sites or gmail accounts - since date of birth is something that banks and other companies often use as a way to access an account.

I also don't trust Google Voice on my real cell phone. For some reason, I'm convinced one time the call will go through from my main number or somehow will show up on caller ID. It's burner phone for me too - or just communicating only by email (which can sometimes raise suspicion, but is still a lot easier).
