Here's a topic....

On train, spotted a provider who's services I have used in the past. Things I noticed....

- Provider looks in my direction. Can not say he noticed me but i was right across from him

- Provider starts texting

- Provider starts giggling

- Provider's friend is giggling and looks over to me.

- Me; Totally humiliated and get off train before my stop.

Over reacting?

Rather than getting off the train, there are several other alternatives.

1 Ignore it. This is the most mature but not necessarily the most satisfying

2 Wave A friendly wave in the direction of the escort

3 Speak Funny running into you here.

4 Confront Gee I thought with all that escorting money you would be using fancier transportation

5 Insult Oh Hi. I was just considering what was the biggest waste of money for me this year and then there you were.

I probably would have opted for 1 or 3.

I think so... because it could have been many things. Maybe it was not about you at all, you just thought or assumed it was about you.

Just laugh it off. Take it with a grain of salt.

I would forget about it... this has zero payback.

If you approach him for any reason the best possible outcome is that you ask him and he 1) denies he shared anything about you, and, 2) thinks you're vaguely stalkerish.

Oh no you're absolutely correct. I had no intention of bringing it up to him. I'm just venting. I just felt like a fool.

Maybe ask his friend "Are you one of clients or are you an escort too?" Or maybe substitute a vulgar word for escort.

He lost a client, he is also indiscreet and that's not good for the business.

Just ignore it. Be the better person but don’t use his services again. He won’t admit to it anyway even if you did asked him. The question for you is would you tell others of this incident if other clients asked about this particular masseur?

Why is ignoring it rather than asking a question make someone a better person? Sounds like avoidance to me.

I think you should have found out if he was talking about you and if true you should alert others on review sites. People need to be forewarned about the kind of person they might be dealing with!

Clients are people too with feelings and are not just an ATM machine!

What was your original experience with him?

I recognize that I'm not quoting the OP here.

But to the OP, this seems like the key point. You've met him. Did he seem like the kind of guy who would mock and humiliate one of his clients? It seems like you can envision the "Mean Girl" scenario pretty easily. If so, move on and forget about it. There shouldn't be so much shame associated with being a client. It's not like he outed you to your wife or something.

If he seemed like a good guy, I would give him the benefit of the doubt. I find people on trains, and in their phones, are in their own little world and could easily not recognize someone right across from them.

No its about asking a question. Being curious. Learning. Rather than presuming and not asking.

There are only two possibilities if he asks. First, the masseur will lie to him but thought the guy must think everything revolves around him. The other possibility is that the masseur will admit it was about him. Then what? He gets the validation but will it end there? Now he’ll wonder what he did that was funny. It will lead to more questions.

There are numerous possibilities. You've just picked two of the negative ones. Have a good night.
