Nowadays, yes and for other ventures we do. The money we make from porn is difficult to justify unless it’s benefitting something else we are doing.

Do many escorts visit NYC for only 2 days? I can understand a short visit to a small city with a limited clientele, but that seems unlikely for New York.

Yup. Scenes can take upwards of 8 hours to shoot and we're normally paid between $850 to $1,500 for the scene. In a world of rampant piracy, the studios make less thus the models and staff get paid less.

I certainly don't restrict hiring to escorts who have done porn, however it is nice to see in some way exactly what the guy likes. I suppose you have to accept that a "director" might give a porn actor some guidance during a shoot so that you can never be 100% sure it is all the actor I think things come through. Those are nice to see for when you get together.

Adam *looks* like a dominant daddy and the movies often portray him that way. I can say it's definitely not because of the money! Lol. If it was I would have already been in a few videos myself. Any time I have considered doing porn it has been solely for advertising purposes. It will bring more exposure, a fan base, and potential to really build a brand for yourself in the adult entertainment industry.

 

My biggest concern is: it's out there forever (obviously). There's no denying you were ever in the adult industry.. but another one of my concerns would be the amount of work.

 

1500/scene is common. Like said above, that's 8 hours of work. I've made several times that amount in only half the time it'd take to shoot a scene, and OFF CAMERA. No one else got to see but the person enjoying the time we spent together. Once I saw the type of money I can bring in, I'd be a fool to let someone else capitalize off something I am capable of doing on my own. It is not hard at all to set up an adult pay site. Market yourself as an entertainer. Build a fan base. Launch a site! You can choose 1500 for a scene that will be out there forever creating residual income for the studio, or you create a site on your own.. creating your own exclusive content, and receiving your own residual income on top of the escorting money.

 

Say you can get 500 subscribes at $29/month.. that's an extra 15k monthly just to start. Being hired as a model for a studio has its perks, but I feel it is limiting to the full potential a provider has.

Yes usually for a weekend or maybe Friday thru Sunday. It's more common especially if they are based on the east coast.

They went through their quick phase of calling all the guys "pornstar performers" rather than escorts. I've stopped keeping track of what they're calling guys these days.

My observation is that in the US, 'Pornstar' shows up on RM pages but outside the US it still says 'Escort'. I am outside the US and I have never seen an RM profile that says 'Pornstar'.
