Why isn’t Chicago a frequently visited city among escorts?

Hi,relatively new here and first time to as the escorts. I noticed that Chicago isn’t really very popular among escorts. That’s based on escort profiles with a number of travel schedules, and it seems like they often skip Chicago. Is that just coincidence or is it because Chicago is just unpopular?

I think it could be a combination of a few things. First, it is a midwestern town (city?) with all that that brings. Second, there are a certain number of local escorts that are here and each probably appeals to a certain portion of the population. At the same time, the population often hires out of town because they are going to be out of town for other things. For example, I might be headed to NYC to see Hello Dolly and see Russ while I am there. Finally, a number of high caliber, quality reputation escorts travel through Chicago or are flown into town at one time or other. I'm sure there are other reasons but those are the ones I thought of.

I have given Chicago 2 real tries to be a viable city. Both times it had disappointed me. Sure, I can make money there.. but I could make more in other cities. Simple decision to skip Chicago. I have a couple photographers that want to work with me there, so I'll likely return for that as well as see clients.

I've never traveled to Chicago for a work trip because I rarely hear from anyone in Chicago asking when I'll visit, and because I rarely have visitors to my RM profile from Chicago. No apparent demand, no visit.

 

I would love for either of you to come to Madison, WI

Probably for the same reasons as LA - you have a lot of local talent with whom a traveling guy has to compete coupled with very high hotel rates. I suppose an escort whose primary reason for visiting is a vacation trip would do OK, but to pay hundreds of dollars for hotel and food only to have few clients would make no sense for a purely work trip. Then there is the matter of the lovely weather.

As an ex-native—actually, if you ask around, nobody's really from Chicago, they're from the suburbs ...—anyway, as someone who grew up there, and used it as my playground until the age of 18, Chicago is a great city ... to be from. The weather sucks (So I moved to New England! At least the leaves are prettier). The people are superficially friendly. The Museums are world class. Da Bears suck, but Da Cubs are way cool:

SO yes, it has a certain charm. But getting around is awful. The subway is usually too far away. Cabs are ... cabs. Maybe it's better with Uber.

 

It's a nice place to visit, but after living there as an adult for three years (five blocks from Wrigley Field, when the lights were being put it), I was better off in Boston (where I lived three blocks from Fenway Park).

 

Speaking of which: I don't have anyone local that I hire. I need to fix that. My two favourite escorts both come to visit.

I just got back from Chicago a couple weeks ago. From my experience I would say Chicago has a lot of potential to make a lot of money, but the money isn't always online. More times than not, male escorts rely 100% on advertising/internet for booking their clients. If I was to sit in a hotel room all day waiting for calls, I would not have made as much as I'd like in Chicago either.. fortunately I have the hustle of a stripper (was a dancer before I was an escort). A lot of boys don't know how to go out and approach clients in person. Several amazing bars I've found in Chicago that I made money out of. I went alone, found clients, brought them to my hotel (or theirs) and repeat. The best part is there is not much competition when you do it that way (besides the boys giving it away for free) so you can charge more. No need to have a competitive rate to keep yourself in the range of the rest of the boys. Easy money if you know how to get it. I even had someone chase me down for 6 blocks, telling me I walk fast and then asking me to sit and chat where he basically asked for oral on his lunch break... and I'm sure you all know what I asked for! (; Just goes to show you can meet a client anywhere, anyplace, anytime. You don't need the internet to do numbers. Will return again in a few months (there are other destinations I'd like to try before returning).

  • Under "Chicago" on Rentmen, there are currently 186 ads; 45 of them are from visitors to Chicago.
  • In the "Escort Travels" forum, as of 10 minutes ago, the following cities were listed:
    • Chicago (twice)
    • Philadelphia
    • LA (twice)
    • NYC (twice)
    • Palm Springs
    • Seattle
    • Atlanta
    • Las Vegas
    • Boston
    • Montreal
    • Italy (assorted cities)

I have lived in Chicago, within the city itself, since 1990 and will continue to do so. I go to NY every year and other cities but I don’t even think of moving to any of them. Chicago is home. Yes, most who live here are usually from the burbs or from the neighboring states. They live here for a couple of years or so and claim to know the city LOL

 

I’m not sure why Chicago is not a hotspot for visiting escorts. For myself, I have my regular providers here so they’re the ones I hire when I’m at home. I’ve come to trust them and have some sort of bond with them. Only when I’m traveling that I hire someone else whenever my schedule permits.

As you can probably tell from my avatar, I am originally from Chicago. The city of Chicago, not a suburb. I moved because I wanted a change. My job has since taken me to Phoenix, but at some point I will move back. It is a beautiful city and residents don't let the cold keep them indoors. Go ahead and don't visit. More for the rest of us to enjoy. :)

Fortunately (or rather unfortunately) climate change or the rise in temperature has really tempered the climate of Chicago (I think). Certainly parts of the winter can be really, really cold (remember that Jan 2nd when it was about 6 below zero) but much of it can be like a cold fall day. We avoid snow for much of the time. So, although we still have a winter (and it is not Phoenix) I would not let it change my mind of moving here as there are so many great things going on and you can take a cab, the L, or your car.
