A sadistic killer who tortured a vulnerable man to death in a seven-hour bondage session has been caged for 39 years.

Computer repairman Peter Fasoli accidentally recorded his own murder at the hands of sadistic Jason Marshall, who posed as a policeman and an MI5 agent. MI5 is England’s answer to the FBI.

Chilling secret camera footage showed the twisted murderer wearing a fake police badge and gun holster.

He listened to Classic FM as he handcuffed, tied and gagged, and wrapped plastic wrap around the helpless 58-year-old’s face.

Fasoli was believed to have died in an electrical blaze until the victim’s stunned nephew, Christopher 'Heavens to' Murgatroyd, discovered the video on his fire-damaged computer hard drive nearly two years later.

On Tuesday, Judge Nicholas Hilliard jailed Marshall for life with a minimum of 39 years for the murder.

The psychopath showed no emotion as Hilliard said it won’t be safe to release him until “age and infirmity” make it impossible for him to kill again.

He told Hilliard: “You realized he was weak, naive and gullible: in short, no match for you.”

“I’m sure that you were motivated by a desire to cause Mr. Fasoli pain without his consent, which would be a significantly greater source of pleasure or gratification to you than is ordinarily the case for those who enjoy inflicting violence.”

“You tortured him for so long because you enjoyed it so much.”

“It wasn’t necessary to go to the lengths you did if your only purpose was to kill him.”

“The dominant elements of your motivation in killing Mr. Fasoli were robbery and sadism.”

Prosecutor Ed Brown said Murgatroyd did not feel able to the sentencing because he ‘continues to be distressed about what he saw’ on his uncle’s hard drive.”

Brown said: “The finding of the distressing footage has continued to distress the family.”

A court heard Fasoli was stripped, tied up, gagged and smothered with plastic wrap after Marshall, 28, tricked his way into his home in January 2013.

Harrowing footage shown to a jury shows Fasoli begging for his life and saying he could not breathe as he was attacked by Marshall.

The killer is seen wearing police accessories he bought online including a police utility belt, handcuffs, and a pistol holster.

He begins an apparently consensual “interrogation” role-play fantasy as he “arrests” the victim for being a spy.

But it turns into a prolonged and violent “domination” and torture session as Classic FM radio plays in the background.

Marshall threatens to cut out his victim’s tongue with a hunting knife and forcibly injects him with a syringe.

Towards the end of his ordeal, Fasoli can be heard crying out in distress after his head was covered and he was dragged from the bed out of view of the camera.

After the victim stops making any noise, Marshall calmly smokes a cigarette before reciting a Latin blessing and then torching Fasoli’s one-bedroom bungalow in Northolt, West London, to cover his tracks.

A pathologist said Fasoli was unconscious but still alive when the fire started. But investigators thought the blaze was sparked by a faulty light bulb.

Former male escort Marshall fled to Rome with the victim’s bank cards and withdrew hundreds of dollars.

While on the run in Italy he strangled stranger Vincenzo Iale, 67, to death with an electrical cable and stole his bank card and car.

A week later he posed as a British embassy official when he met Umberto Gismondi, 54, armed with a holster, utility belt, pistol, pepper spray, and a police baton.

He bound and gagged Gismondi and demanded cash but fled after the victim managed to alert his neighbors.

British cops launched a murder probe in November 2014 after Fasoli’s nephew Murgatroyd examined his fire-damaged computer expecting to find research on his family tree.

Detectives found Marshall had stalked him and other men on gay dating apps.

“This case is another example of an isolated, vulnerable gay man being targeted by a predator using gay dating apps.”

But Brown today said the Department of Professional Standards and Detective Superintendents have looked into the investigation into Fasoli’s death.

They maintain that there were “no grounds” for suspecting there had been third-party involvement in Fasoli’s death until the webcam footage was discovered.

Marshall, previously of Forest Gate, east London, was sentenced to life with a minimum of 39 years for murder with a concurrent five-year sentence for arson.

In case anyone was wondering, this isn't standard practice in the U.K.

I'm not saying there isn't a British twist - listening to Classic FM whilst committing the murder - but likely has more to do with the fact that Marshall is a fucking psychopath, as well as being British.

Made me think of Clockwork Orange:

What is this supposed to explain?

Absolutely nothing

WOW! I thought it was.

Or perhaps what is the purpose of this other than to scare people.

Just trying to bring a little culture into your lives... The Brits always do things in a classier way than Americans do, don't you think?
