I don't know if it's just my bad luck but I've recently run into a spat of clients who seem to be critique shy when it comes to reviewing. Even just the quick rent.men review seems an impossibility for them. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and had any solutions short of setting up a check out station at the door with my laptop, rent.men reviews up, and a bowl of "thank you for your stay" mints.

I've stated this many times and I will say it again. As a client I feel if I've had a great time it's almost like an unwritten contract to write a review on Daddy's and or Rentmen. I think it's a courtesy for the escort as well as helping in his business. I would never have an objection to doing it if an escort asked either. Escorts for the most part rely on good feedback. I have great admiration for u guys.

I didn't even realize you could remove reviews. I figured it was like yelp. That seems completely counterproductive. I can see why those without accounts wouldn't waste their time.

My understanding is that guys can't directly remove bad reviews, but they can request they be removed and RM seemingly will for just about any conceivable reason, Having said that, I seen some truly horrifying reviews stay up, I don't know if the guys just don't realize they could request removal or if RM decided they should stay.

BTW, do you know any guys like yourself who...aren't tops? ;)

I have no problem if a client does not want to do a review. Most of my clients are private and insist on discretion from whatever field they work in or who they know, etc.. If a client wants to do a review fine, but asked or needed. My personal client review I get when that client wants to see me again and again... Big hugs!

You look and sound like a great escort. I'm one of the clients that becomes a regular for an escort that I have a great time with and i also give positive reviews and great feedback to this forum when I can. Unless someone is breaking the code here to figure out who I "really" am (i'm pretty sure this is anonymous) then I feel like it's the least I can do.

I wouldn't put too much importance on having a review. I used to not ask for them at all because I didn't want to allude that I was working for the review, rather than the money and satisfaction factor. But, things change and I ask now.

Over time, I can tell which clients are likely to give a review. I usually don't ask on the first time either, but sometimes I can. I have to disagree with the Rentmen reviews not having any clout. People tend to use those.

Honestly though, and not to rub anyone the wrong way...but I've said it before. If you go through the listings, most of the guys with multiple reviews on daddies are...well, I'm sure you can figure it out. I don't know why it's like that...but that's just how it is. Black/Latin escorts tend to be reviewed less often than White escorts. Though, I'm seeing on Rentmen a greater increase in the amount of Black escorts and myself being reviewed versus all the previous websites like rentboy and men4rent reviews.

If you're working with 10-15 reviews at the present time on Rentmen...you're doing pretty good for yourself. But it comes with time and I honestly wouldn't feel compelled to attain any such numbers overnight. It takes time.

To review, you need an account on those sites. Yet to view them, and contact the provider, you don't - you can anonymously window shop/book appointments. People without an account will most likely not open one just to leave a review. Also, a lot of us know the reviews are edited and only the good ones stay, the bad ones are immediately removed. So there's less confidence in the review process and probably less desire to leave a review when the whole system is bogus.

And that's exactly why I sometimes do not write reviews because it is really more of a hassle having to setup an account. I am more than happy to pass along my suggestions in this forum and include a link to one's ad than go through opening an account. It's like getting offers to open a credit card just to get an extra 15-20 percent off. You have to go through the trouble of opening one and again to cancel it. Keep the discount. I don't buy anything I cannot afford full price. Just like I don't contact a masseur or escort and haggle for a lesser fee.

I love your attitude and outlook. I think it's really kind of you to be looking to support working guys in the form of a review.

Personally, I don't sweat it too much about reviews. I appreciate them and they most certainly help my business. What I rely on is people talking. I'm not a client, but if I were and I were hiring someone, I'd take someone's word in a personal conversation over reviews.

Eric this is a solitary anonymous business in selecting escorts. I don't talk about this with anyone except escorts and on this board. That's why I guess I do reviews when warranted. You my friend have a remarkable reputation. You sound like one of the real treasures.

Why is it that some less than five star reviews are taken out from an escort's profile? I have seen a couple of reviews disappear. If you/RM can do that, so what's the point of reviewing?

I take the reviews of reputable reviewers seriously. Also, on RM, you can message other clients who have left reviews of someone you are interested in, it's been very informative sometimes.

Under the umbrella of "Am I the Only One?":

First of all, I see more masseurs, and pretty few escorts.

BUT

I am very liberal with my recommendations here on this forum, and in responding to posts, but i have submitted limited reviews and here's why: I don't want anyone connecting the dots. I want my participation to be relatively anonymous. I've had some great chats with some of you (in private mostly) - and I like to think I've responded well to most requests for info - but - i'm uncomfortable providing too much detail, or even letting folks form a profile about me so easily. Did i review 4 masseurs last year? or 6 escorts last month? I don't want that info known.

Something like "I saw JOE while he was in LA last week and went to his place and he was a little late but was a total gentleman and apologized and offered me 10 extra minutes on my massage" Ok, now JOE (if he's on this forum) knows who I am. And JOE can see that I reviewed TOM, DICK, HARRY ..last week or last month .. and how will that impact the next time I want to see JOE? Maybe the next time I see JOE i want to say "Oh man havent had a massage since your last trip 6 months ago" - and then JOE can roll his eyes and say "I saw you reviewed 10 other guys since then" - of course if he was smart he wouldn't, but the point is he could.

Or ... "I was in Atlanta on bizness for 4 days last week and hired MIKE. He was great and started with a massage but ended up fucking my brains out" added to "I had a one night trip to San Fran and hired GREG" - is my coworker on here? Someone who knows a bit about my travel schedule and can start to say.. .Hmmm wait.. wasn't he in ATL last week for training and then a couple months ago in SF for the company all-hands?"

Folks can deduce that here on Daddy's Forum as well as on the M4M sites, so for me it's in the interest of my own anonymity.

Am I the only one?

I can understand the latter points of your reply, LADude, anonymity is important, but the former is a sticking point. There's no need to lie to Joe if you're seeing and reviewing other.

We're all adults here, doing very adult things. Honesty helps a lot. I probably would roll my eyes too at that. It feels disingenuous when you could've simply said "Hey I haven't seen you in a while. Could we meet up?"

But that's a different conversation for another thread. To the former point, I was more referencing the rent.men reviews section than Daddy's. I know you can go more in-depth here but there's certain things you surely could omit in your review to maintain your anonymity. Even in your example, if you just didn't mention your travel habits then there's nothing to link to your identity.
