So I booked a massage yesterday in DC. I wanted a sensual massage, mutual nude/touch, with release. I decided on one of the visitors that I had seen visiting before, but never tried. I checked out the reviews here on the forum. Other than some suspicions because of periodic name changes (and one strange ranter), I decided to move forward and book. His advertised rate on MasseurFinder in the Relax section was $125.

He was easy to reach via text and responded immediately to set up a session...asking if I want Therapeutic or Sensual (Nude/Release)...which was +$40. Hmmm...a little off-putting, but I decided to move forward.

We set on a time and I arrived for my session. He answered the door in jockstrap-type underwear that had his ass out. He was very cute. More twink type than I liked, but all was good. He asked for fee upfront. Yes that is a flag, but I was comfortable enough with what I had read here in the forum.

The massage proceeded and it was clear that this was rub&tug. No real massage skills (contradictory to what I had read here). On the flip, he informs me that he provides escort services as well for +$100. This a discount because he usually charges $300 for that. Although I had the funds with me, I declined. At this point, I lost my wood. He worked me up again and then proceeded to finger fucked himself (as further enticement?) while he provided me hand release.

Although the massage was poor, I still would have been OK with the session. It was the upsells that really ruined the mood.

Anybody else experienced such upsells? Did you go all the way?...or when did you say enough is enough?

Sorry for your disappointment. Are you going to submit a review? I think it is important you do, specially considering your experience does not match the information on record about this provider.

The "information on record" was not in Daddies Reviews. It was comments in threads where he was discussed here in the forum (which can be subjective).

Comments like: "he was a very good masseur, friendly and had a nice energy." and "the real deal. As pictured, very fit, and has obviously had massage training"

I agree that is pretty off-putting. As long as the masseur is upfront about being nude is extra at the time of making appointment I think that is okay. But once session starts there should be no upsell. One guy talked about here Brian L aka Brian Evans was slammed for the upsell.

I have never been asked upfront for money, not sure what I would do. If you refuse you may worry about not getting his best work or having mood ruined.

I learned a few upsell lessons the hard way. I booked a guy that had a decent mention on here, and assumed I would have a similar experience. Massage started but he stayed in shorts, and mentioned it would be extra to go nude and even more for touch. I wasn't happy, but I was literally caught with my pants down and agreed to it (he did have a hot body and a big bulge). That led to more play and he said he "would do whatever I wanted" for more $$$. I told him I didn't have that much with me and he said there's an ATM nearby. I was beginning to think he meant me. I feel like I had been baited the whole time. I reached my limit and he finished me off. After cleaning up, he got dressed and proceeded to wrap things up. I look at the clock. It was only 30 minutes into a 60 minute session. So I called him on it and said can I at least get the rest of my 60 minute massage? He didn't look happy but said ok. I didn't really want the massage now. I was far from relaxed. But I wasn't going to let him slide. After a few minutes of his half-hearted rubs, I said I was done and got up, paid and left. So I learned I need to confirm things like nude or touch before booking, so there are no more surprises. And I learned to stop thinking with my dick (ok, well this one is taking some time).

Ive never been upsold during a session.

Experienced it once at session's beginning, by a Las Vegas scort from an agency, who told me fee was to show up, and then he proceded to list a menu. I sent him away.

If a rentguy ever offers to upsell by grating truffle over my body, I'm swearing off escorts and masseurs forever.

Agreed! This wasn't an escort, but a con artist. Post a review and burn his playhouse

down.

I agree, I'd go on record in the respective threads, and I'd specifically quote comments that contributed to your decision to hire this doofus. Nothing wrong about saying "Sorry, but my experience was the exact opposite, and here is what happened..." This would be very useful to other members considering the same person.

Yeah, upselling equals my pants go on and I leave.

It's partly a matter of principle and partly I don't want to be tempted.

Any offers made before my pants hit the floor are welcomed, but rarely

accepted. Most upsellers are scam artists and I'm usually already glad I

didn't spend more the moment the doors opens.

In my book it's dirty pool and I refuse to play.

I will do that. I was trying to give a little breathing room between this thread and him...so that my experience here [with no names] wouldn't be considered a review.

I think this masseur was upfront before the massage by mentioning the extra fee for nude/release (extra $40) so I respect him for that. Maybe he offered you an extra service after you arrived since he felt chemistry with you? I feel the word "upsell" has a dirty connotation in the masseur/escort field, when in reality it is a standard business practice in many other service industries. For example, do you consider it "dishonest" or "offensive" when you are at a 5 star spa and during a massage session they offer you a "salt scrub" for an extra $40? Or if you are at a high end restaurant and you have already ordered your dinner and the waitress comes back to your table and offers you extra cocktails for a special price of $20? Or when you bring your car in for an oil change, and after they start the oil change they ask if you would like a tire rotation for $35? All three of these examples have happened to me in the past 6 months. It is very common in other businesses, so that carries over into the sex trade. I have been "upsold" a few times by masseurs and escorts and just brush it off. I go to both men and women, and with women it is even more prevalent. If interested, I say yes. If not interested, I say no. Very simple. We are all adults here and can just decline if not interested. No need to get all worked up and let it ruin your session, just like I did not let it ruin my massage when I declined the salt scrub (after the massage started) for $40 at the 5 star spa.

Yes, I do.

Obviously, we're gonna have to agree to disagree on this one.

Those all sound shady to me and I find the offers dirty.

Tell me the price. Up front. Before the service starts...and I'm 100% cool.

One second after the service starts?.....you're a dirty whore.

I presume the extras aren't presented until 'the service starts', your lying naked on his bed.

That is a bit different than a restaurant or Jiffy Lube.

For some reason I don't like talking money in the middle of a service being provided to me. Upfront, yes, because it is necessary. But while I am enjoying myself, you kill the mood by giving me a new price that I now need to consider? No thanks, I'll go somewhere else next time.

I absolutely agree. Also, if this was discussed before hand, then I have budgeted for the expense and brought the appropriate funds.

He's back fleecing people in LA:

https://rentmasseur.com/MrCambaz

AT LEAST he's advertising on Rent Masseur and showing $125 doesn't include an erotic massage which indicates, if available, you're going to pay more. Overpriced, but disclosed.

It's Masseurfinder that I find sets me to flames, for if it were a straight site it would have been put out of business a long time ago.

I'm resurrecting this topic to ask for some pointers about how to respond to the upsell. While I understand that spa masseurs are not well paid and usually directed by managers to upsell, it is off-putting to me to be relaxed during a massage and suffer through an upsell. I try to keep it simple and say "no, thank you" but then I worry that the masseur will get pissed off or think I'm cheap and act accordingly. On the positive, I try to stick with the same masseur and establish a rapport so the upsell doesn't occur. But that takes a few visits and in between is the upsell. Any tips about how to respond when this happens?

No much advice unfortunately for a first time with a masseur that does not know you are generous (or who has forgotten)

Usually I pay up (i do that because at that point I really want to come, and I really want to end the money-conversation now, and start the sex instead) and then I do not go back to that masseur (that is because, while I am trying to relax, he got me stressed out thinking about how not to get ripped of).

That is the only strategy I have, which is really not much of a tip.
