Wondering if escorts are responsive.

His ad says to let him know if interested in him coming to a city. I sent him a text to come to SF. All you SF people interested in muscular Asians, let's get him here as he is looking for places to travel!

Rentguys... Does this work with you? Will you travel with an indication of interest? How much interest is enough? Is it too risky... because preliminary, hypothetical indications of interest may not materialize when you get there?

This kind of happened with myself and an escort from the west coast. I expressed an interest, we talked about it for awhile to figure out logistics. I got his plane ticket and he said he would stay in my area a fews days after our planned weekend together (to see other clients). I was fine with this. When it was time to part ways, he only wanted the cost for the time spent minus the cost of the plane tickets. He gave me the discount because he apparently enjoyed his time with me. Also because I was willing (from the start) to get him a return ticket so he could stay longer and make more money.

So being proactive works at least sometimes. :)

This entirely depends on the size of the city. If I have one person requesting a small town, it's not likely I'll make a trip. Every "new" city is a gamble. If I receive multiple people asking from the same area, I definitely give that city more thought.

I think it depends on the guy, Some will only travel if you fund fares, accommodation and their fee for the duration (the presumption being that they are only travelling to see you), some want the fare and/or a guaranteed session of an agreed length, there is the trip sponsorship idea, and at the other end of the spectrum one escort told me that he's confident filling his dance card so he'd travel to where I would be so I could hire him there, planned in advance, though.

I've paid for guys to travel to me, but its been more common they were coming to Bay Area anyway, and I booked overnights or weekends. Ive hosted overnights and weekends in my home, taken guys to nearby recreation destinations for weekends, and once, the escort hosted me for a 24-hour in his hotel room.

But except for my very first longer stay, Ive never paid travel expenses for my first visit. And I learned to only do 1-hour first visit, and then, if compatible, book longer.

So, no way I'd fund travel for someone I never met. The confidence of a filled dance card in order to encourage travel is my interest with this post.

I have to admit, given the things about flakey clients escorts have told me, and the things I read on here about client failure to follow-through.... trying to see their perspective, I'd have qualms if I were a rentguy. Airfare, a budget room in San Francisco at $150+taxes/night is considered a bargain. A guy would need to book 2-3 hours a day just to break even here. Maybe some intangible value if the location has some travel or free time appeal.

A few out-of-town escorts find San Francisco a good market. I suspect a lot more are disappointed by it.

I can tell you that 1995-2008... almost every escort I met and communicated with told me SF is one of the very worst markets for them. Several said they'd never return, except to vacation.

And the market most of those guys told me was best....Dallas.

That point surprised me enormously, and he offered the statement unprompted. I had told him that I saw it as my job to get to a city where he was going to be, and he basically told me not to assume that he couldn't adjust his schedule for me. We didn't discuss whether that applied to many destinations or only some, or whether he would be selective about to which cities he was prepared to do that.
