I am curious what your top price you are willing to pay for a strictly Therapeutic massage,

if the masseur is out of this world sexy and hot. The reason I ask is that I have noticed a number of posts lately re: masseurs who are VERY hot charging in the $160/hr-$180/hr. range just for a Therapeutic massage., no HE, etc. Personally I find this outrageous. The tops I would pay for a super hot guy for strictly Therapeutic massage, his shorts stay on, no HE etc. is $120. Am I missing something here, or am I being cheap? What is your top price? How high would you go?

I'm willing to pay what I'm willing to pay based upon all of the market factors. If I want strictly therapeutic, I dont care what he looks like.

If I know it's only therapeutic and yet the masseur's looks matter to me, then I want more than just a therapeutic massage. I want some kind of eye-candy or my own private fantasy. If it's important to me, I'll pay more.

For strictly therapeutic, I'd pay more at a fancy resort spa, less for a local practitioner, even less at massage envy. A one hour therapeutic massage in Napa Valley starts at $140. The new Native American Casino in Sonoma just opened a spa... they raise massage prices on weekends.... its market pricing. I'll pay more if I know the table is comfier or the environment is more soothing. I wont judge those who need the eye-candy. Another marketplace reality is that people matching conventional standards for attractiveness always command more money - and get it.

I had an erotic massage recently, and I paid $150. There was no masseur tug-til-the-client-cums-while-laying-there. But it was fantastic, fun, and surprising. And HOT! And he's not someone who looks like a fitness model. I gave him a generous tip, and I'm already trying to schedule another massage. I'm a happy customer and a willing payer.

Every once in a while, we see absurd pricing... some young guy, not extraordinarily beautiful, who wants $5000 for one night as an escort. I'd never pay it. But if he's figured out that clients will be few and far between, and yet all he needs are a few per year.... more power to him. There's usually a buyer for everything, at every price point.

In the years of hiring, I never once squawked at or negotiated a fee. It was either what I was willing to pay, or more than I was willing to pay, so I kept looking. The only times there were negative reactions is when, occasionally an escort said

"Well, if you can't afford it..." to which I always replied, "no, I can afford it. I said I'm not willing to pay it."

For a good strictly therapeutic massage the going rate at a chain is about $60/hr in my area. So maybe a private masseur who is very good is worth $80-100. I do believe in supporting local self employed guys who work hard and are honest. Chains pay their masseurs almost nothing. Recently I was traveling and really needed a therapeutic massage and paid more but it wasn't that great. Reinforced my 80/100 rule. Even with more elements added my ceiling is $200 and it really has to be promising. Like someone said in an earlier post there is someone who will pay any price for something.

Not necessarily. I'm not really an erotic massage kind of guy. I either go full escort or strictly therapeutic massage. However, even with a therapeutic massage where the therapist remains fully clothed, I care about how they look and how they present themselves. They must be male and someone who I want to have hands on me. In my area you can get that for about $80.

If I want s therapeutic massage I'll use my Massage Envy membership.

Do you like that place?

I know people who love it, and I know people who hated it.

Ive met masseurs and masseuses (not as a client) who hated working there, citing production schedules, volume, not enough time between clients, etc.

Massage Envy is a 3-4 minute walk from my home. They are also conveniently located for my local work driving destinations. The one near me must do fairly well, as they expanded into the adjacent space. The one time I went in for info and sales pitch, they told me they were developing a book of therapist profiles; I called a few times after, but the directory never materialized. Each time I thought of joining, something or someone made me reconsider.

So I remain curious.

I have had a membership for years I have a few favorites. I at least know they are licensed and trained. Have never been disappointed.

Strictly therapeutic: $60.

Massage + HE: $80 - $150. Depends on how good-looking the guy is. I've gotten a few disappointing ones from Masseur Finder, so the only time I'd consider forking $150 is if the guy is highly rated and I'm willing to take the chance.

I should have clarified, my bad. I was talking about in the "gay online massage world"....such as on MF, RM, M4M, etc. I know all about Massage Envy, etc. My local one here is offering $50/hr. What I was talking about was for strictly Therapeutic on these gay sites. I have seen MANY Eastern European guys referenced in posts who are charging OUTTA site prices on MF, M4M, etc with no nudity, no HE... some as high as $250/hr. My top price I am willing to pay for this is $120. What's yours on these gay massage sites?

Same answer.

Would I pay $250 if the guy rang all my bells for looks? I'd probably contact him to determine if he really is only offering non-erotic massage. That price is pretty far outside the normal range and suggests there's more to the offering. And if the answer is yes, massage only, I'd likely pass.

But if someone's desire is to see a guy who stirs their inner passions, and know he putting his hands all over them, it could be worth $250 to them.

I get a 90 min therapeutic massage that is amazing with the same talented guy for almost 12 years now. With tip = $ 120 for the 90 min. For the guy I go to for an erotic massage with HE, nude, and mutual touch, my favored guy is $150 for 75 min and have spent up to $250 for someone that stirs my stick for 90 min.

I have to confess that there have been times when I proved P.T. Barnum was right. And those times that I went along and paid $200, in hindsight I kicked myself. Like Liza Doolittle, I was singing, "What a fool I was." Never more, I vow, er, I hope.

I have an awesome female masseur at a chiropractic office 3 minutes walk from my house. She charges $80 an hour and works her magic to take care of most of my problems. If I can feel extra comfortable with a male masseur working on my hip flexors and/or glutes I'll pay $100. But I actually don't want him to be hot in this case. Why deal with extra hard and embarrassing hard-ons and risk developing a crush that won't go anywhere?

PS Knowingly or unknowingly, beautiful people get all kinds of breaks, so it's only fair that there be some situations in which the opposite is true. I have to admit that I perceive hot guys charging $120 or more as scammers, especially if they are not CMTs and what they offer cannot really be described as therapeutic and it's not "sensual" either. What is it then and what could possibly justify that (or any) price?

Depends if it's nude and there's some play I'd be willing to pay no more than $160. More than that would be escort prices hence I would expect full service.

That's exactly how I feel. And I am lucky to live in NYC where there is ample supply of attractive young men who can provide this service at $160.

It varies for sensual and erotic massages depending on what was discussed.

However, for a purely therapeutic massage I don't think I want to pay more than $125 (maybe $150 if I really want to stretch it) and that's if he has very good massage skills. That includes tips. For me, the looks doesn't make any difference as most masseurs only work on the back. Not that I want to hire someone that's not visually appealing. All I see are his calves and feet for the most part. I've only been with a couple of masseurs that actually massaged my front torso as well. The only time I see him is when I walk in and when I get up from the table.

My regular (therapeutic only) masseur does my chest, but he also knows I've been working it pretty hard and it gets sore and needs attention and stretching. I've never had a masseur touch my stomach, but I've also never had a washboard stomach that might be sore and needing attention. :)
