I know the rentmen fiasco was 2 years ago but i feel like its effect still linger to this day, Many people were scared off from hiring or hire much less, or stick to the regulars they had prior.

 

To go in a little deeper I feels like theirs so much escorts out there, that sometimes people treat rentmen more like instagram and just check out the hot pictures/videos each day and do that more than hiring. Theirs tons of guys with hot bodies and great faces that you have to make differentiate your profile, but I'm still shocked you are seeing [uSER=15464]@fallenAngel[/uSER] as from your avi you have a great face and body. Maybe its just a slump this month, with escorting you go from highs to low, next month should be better

Yes I certainly have. Since about the end of April. I made big bank between February and mid-April. I just couldn't save it because coming out of the holidays and relocating, I had to catch up.

 

What is really happening?

 

I have no idea. It's definitely unusual. Unless some of the foul demons and ogres of the forum cast some kind of spell onto the actively posting escorts, it's hard to tell.

 

Why is happening?

 

Unless it's the above answer, I think it's probably just due to it being graduation season. Kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc getting "gifts". Also lets not forget about April 18th...tax day. Uncle Sam may have reached deep this year.

That's what I want to know. I've briefly driven through NYC, but I've never stayed or worked in NYC. Though I've met lots of clients from New York over the years, I've not mustered the courage to actually do a trip there. But my guess is anytime between May thru September...since September thru May they're all in Florida.

If your business is slowing down, it may be a natural part of the evolution of your brand.

Might have to go back to the drawing board, I have to go back every 3 months or so to reassess.

Sometimes though there's nothing one can do. Often it's simply their location needs to change. I've seen it happen many times. Nothing happening, I'm going crazy, go to new city, business back to usual. For example, as I was moving out of Nashville last month, there was nothing going on. Lot of the regulars were unreachable, just nothing was happening on the escort front.

 

But soon as I left Nashville to another city before memorial weekend, things did a 360. I had to turn people down I was so busy. Business exploded just in time to catch all the latest Memorial Day sales.

 

But looking back, I did well overall in Nashville, but I'd of not been able to stay there the whole time without traveling. Atleast in New York there's people who can afford to pay. In some markets, you meet a few guys who will spend, but the vast majority either don't have it to spend or won't spend it even if they have it. Which is beyond the realm of control.

 

So before you pull your hair out trying to analyze why things aren't going the way you want, just try switching up the city.

There are hundreds and hundreds of NYC options on rentmen alone. If they get a little bit hungry, pricepoints might be lowered, more transactions may happen and it potentially becomes win/win ! That said, I'm curious what both clients and escorts think about whether a $50 difference in hourly rate really makes any difference at all ?

$50 is not a deal breaker but it does make me think. There is an escort in Brooklyn with whom I enjoy spending time. In order for me to get there, I have to pay two tolls, pay for parking and gas, not to mention facing traffic which at times adds an hour to my trip. As a result, I only hire him when I have to be in Brooklyn anyway. If his rate were $250, that would just about cover the tolls, gas and parking, so I might consider those things as part of the deal for $300 instead they are in addition to the $300.

Whether $50 matters is a little more variable or situational to me.

 

I wouldn't try to save money if the guy I most want to hire costs $50 more. I'm not going to settle for the $250 guy if I'm drooling for, (and have verified,) the $300 guy.

 

But there are other value-factors.

 

I may be willing to pay $300... but have an arbitrary limit in my head that I'm just not willing to pay $350. For me, the outcome would probably be to hire no one... so it matters. Price can keep me out of the market. But price is unlikely to drive me into a lower-priced market.

 

Theres a fulfillment element to hiring an escort that would influence me away from "settling" based on price. Its not a hotel room decision, where I dont want to spend the higher rate for the beach view, but my lower-priced room is equivalent in every other way.
