Hi all, I am pretty new, trying to get into escorting. I am struggling to get people to contact me and I am unsure why. Would ya'll mind looking at my profile to let me know if there are some huge errors I am making? rent.men/misterlobo

I just posted on skipthegames and hookedin tonight also so I am hoping that increases my visibility. Another issue is I think my first contact with people after they contact me is turning them off? Is there a certain way I should reply to them if all they say is "hey" (via text) ?

other info: im a transguy and ppl have told me thats a really niche product so I might have to wait longer but I am concerned that Im the issue still and not really being a transguy?

Thanks for the help :)

I think your profile is fine (and I'm usually an asshole who rips ad copy apart). Like Smurof says, just give it time. Also, does erosguide have a trans (FTM) section? Not sure, but if it does, that site gets a lot of traffic and may be worth looking into.

Usually I'd say there's absolutely nothing you can do to turn that idiot into a paying client, but since your ad specifically tells them to text first (maybe a channel they're not comfortable with), you might simply type out a canned blurb (Thanks for contacting me. Hit me back and let me know what you're looking for...) to reply with and give them a second chance.

Welcome to the forum, and stick around.

It just takes time, even I am having issues sometimes getting contacts myself. It's all dependent on the area your in and how in demand escorts are sometimes. My area has few escorts but people arent really looking for them either. Niche spots can also make it a bit more interesting but if you wait you will get some hits eventually.

I know I have a few clients who are waiting for daddy to fix the reviews here so they can give me some good ones and that should help with the being new thing. Just get your name out there and relax.

Ps Kevin you should rip my ad apart and tell me if theres anything i can change haha :p

much love

Alex

Thanks! I havent tried Eros yet but from a quick check it doesnt appear so? I can just post in the male escort category and put in my header that im trans and wouldnt mind that. but it also doesnt appear that any male escorts in philly are on there ? I dont think it would be the best place to post bc of that? Or do you think it might still be good?

Thanks for the suggestion of blurb and thanks for the welcome!

Thanks, this makes me feel a lot more assured that I just need to be patient <3

Huh? Does RM not allow you to be 5'2"?

It does not! I don't know why because it isn't like cis guys aren't shorter than 5'5 too :/ But yea, the shortest you can say you are is 5'5 which is why in my profile I specified my height

You should contact our friend @FTM_Twink . I remember him having similar problems at his beginning, but I have not read any ruble's from him in a long time.

I actually messaged him on rm before learning about here (and then him recommending I check here out :) ) and he said he would get back to me also :), thanks!

Nah. If it doesn't specifically have a FTM section, give it a pass. It kinda sucks as a male escort site.

Welcome to the forum, @misterlobo ! I'm glad you've got some good advice already. When I checked your profile, it seemed fine to me, but since I'm not a client, I thought perhaps i was missing something and that the forum might give you some insight. It sounds like things are good in that realm and it may be your newness you need to overcome.

I don't get loads of clients, so I may not be the best for advice, but I also have a regular job, so my hours are limited. Plus I seen to have the sad luck of getting a bunch of client interest as soon as I catch a cold or something, so I can't see them :( if you haven't already, talk to other working guys in your area, whether they're trans or cis. Making friends helps a lot, and they can also refer you to clients who might be interested in a trans guy but don't know where to look

From talking to other FTM escorts, it seems exposure is the biggest challenge. Many of them also do porn (some started their own studios) and they get a lot of interest that way. Being willing to travel also helps. And finally, being active on this forum so guys know you're real and can get a sense of your personality.

I would think that Rentmen.com primarily attracts male clients looking for male escorts. There is a small, but growing, contingent of trans men escorts with ads there. It seems very limited, however.

Eros.com does have a very extensive trans escort person section:

I would seriously look into Eros.com!

Here in New York City, many trans person escorts advertise on the 'personals' of Backpage.

Best of luck!

They all seem to be trans women on Eros, though.

Yes. Serious competition. I was baffled to see that 'Yasmine Petty' is escorting again ... Did she lose her sugar daddy?

In spite of the fact that it mostly trans women indeed, you would really stand out. And the audience could be more open minded about the services you offer. It's just a thought.

Thanks! If I looked to make some friends in my area how would I go about finding them? Just through forums like this or are there other ways?

Thank you, I will think about that! However I think for now I will not use Eros since it is rather pricey and I would feel much more comfortable paying for ad space after I get a client and have that money at least :/

Some people in this field are really lovely, helpful, open, and honest (even in this very thread, for example :)).

Just give people time to respond and don't sweat it if you don't hear back immediately. I frequently get behind on communication across multiple platforms, but I always try to answer eventually.

Yes everyone so far has been so kind and i really appreciate everyone so much! I will try to reach out to guys in my area!

You started to get exposure already by being here. As a client, I've always wanted to be with an FTM man, too bad you're not in the south Florida area :(

Dang, bummer you aren't in Philly either :( Let me know if you are ever in the area or Ill let you know if I am in yours ;)!

That sounds like a business opportunity for some entrepreneurial minded individual.

First of all: welcome to the forum!

I see noting wrong with your add and you're one of very few escorts advertising those services.

It takes a lot of "cojones" asking that kind of question about yourself on here or anywhere else in the online world.

I hope this forum helps you promote your business.
