Therapeutic Massages NYC recommendations

I am looking for recommendations for a masseur (in a spa or independent) for a great therapeutic (only) massage. The ones that I like are priced at $150-$180 for 90 minutes in a spa without tip included. The massages I receive from rub-and-tug places I generally do not like as it seems that many of the masseurs are not trained, even though they may be close to half the price.
