Is your personal prefered position counter to your professional position?

I don't know how many responses I'll get for this one, but I have to ask anyway. Do some of you advertise as one role that is not the role you truly enjoy. I can think of a number of reasons why someone would advertise as a top/bottom/or vers (and be able to preform those roles) but truly prefer to do something completely different at the end of the day.

 

The reason I ask is that from time to time an ad while come up with someone I'm interested in, but can't hire because like me, they're tops. Now at some point someone will post, "well if the price is right, I'm sure you can convince them to bottom." That would mean at the end of the day, they're more versatile than they claim.

But some guys do advertise a certain way, but are willing or want to do something different then advertised. Sometimes there is a reason behind it other than being about money.

 

A couple guys I met wouldn't perform certain acts or wouldn't do certain things regularly because they and their significant other had an agreement about such things. I have met a few because of their "porn" image people assume they will only be a top or bottom, but in actually they are far more versatile. People get an idea of how that person is in their porn and they want that image, not what they actual are or what they are comfortable with. So the escort just plays to (perceived) character when advertising. Sometimes all you have to do is ask and the guy may be willing to do more (even if he advertises as something other then what you are interested in). Or if you know the guy well enough, he may be willing to top/bottom/flip flop for you... if he's comfortable with you.

 

I think most guys who advertise as an absolute top or bottom are more versatile than advertised, but prefer particular positions because of certain circumstances. Not to say there aren't absolutes on either end.

 

P.S. I'm more top than a bottom. Unless you have to absolutely have anal penetration, there are a lot of things two tops can do together without one being a bottom and the other a top. IMHO. Just to clarify, I'm not talking about someone doing something they don't like. I'm talking more about someone who does something that they like to do, but may not be what they like the most.

 

For example, someone may love bottoming a lot more then topping. They love it so much that they cum almost instantly from it. Now this person also does enjoy topping, but because it not what rocks their would, they can last a lot longer topping. Speaking for myself, I advertise for what I like to do and just say no when anyone asks if there are any exceptions. Nobody has ever come back with an offer to pay more for me to bottom and it is extremely rare that a client contacts me who is not looking for a dom top.

You actually might be on to something. It's not that important to me because I'm a strictly oral kind of guy, but if I was looking to bottom I would be looking for someone who advertised as a pure top. And if I was a top, I wouldn't be afraid to contact someone advertising as a top as long as the text of their ad didn't emphasize strongly that they are strictly a top. If they ageed to bottom I would feel like it was a little bonus.
