Are you sure? From the product page:

"Jojoba extracts help soften the skin and anal sphincter enhancing the experience of anal sex. Perfect for use in combination with Pjur Analyse Me! Anal Comfort Spray."

They specifically claim that it can soften the skin and anal sphincter (of which there are actually two). They also recommend that it be used in conjunction with their anal comfort spray, which is intended to desensitise.

i guess i didn't understand it completely... and I didn't order the spray. planning to use this on Saturday so no time now. i just want to enjoy the experience - and too many times i can't get out of my head if it starts off bad and end up panicked. sometimes guys don't take the time (or know how) to help you relax so am trying to take charge of my own destiny so to speak. When it's good, there's just nothing like it IMO.

I am not a fan of any of the desensitizing products because pain is a warning sign from your body to slow down, stop, take more time to relax, etc. Numbing yourself introduces unnecessary risk. The top and bottom should go through the actual effort to help the bottom relax.

Jojoba is an emolument on the skin. It helps smooth it out. Some people have allergic or other negative reactions to it, so I'd say test it on your arm or perhaps your inner thigh before using it for sex.

Lastly, jojoba also has erucic acid, which can cause serious damage to heart tissues in high dosage. So, don't go crazy with it because some of it will definitely enter your blood stream since the blood vessels are very superficial and abundant in the anus, anal canal, and rectum.

wow - good advice @LivingnLA - thanks. i plan to read the packaging carefully when it arrives. if anyone has any advice on effective relaxing techniques I'd appreciate it. i don't have any equipment and maybe should look in to it. prefer to let things happen organically but often it just doesn't. and i don't like consuming alcohol prior as i want to be present and in the moment,

@Tarty, you're welcome. First, read these articles. Second, reread the articles. The key to pleasurable anal sex is relaxing and the best way for a bottom to relax is trust, taking your time, and patience. Yes, you can "force it" but chemicals that enable "rapid prep" can be risky--like poppers--and introduce other complications.

Keep in mind that the anus, anal sphincters, and rectum did not evolve for sex. They're made up of fairly delicate structures and many of the muscles are smooth, which means they aren't under your conscience control. Bleeding can happen even when everything goes well because the tissues are so delicate and blood is literally right below the surface.

I'm fairly new to anal bottoming and while I enjoy it, I have already experienced some of the negatives. For me, I practiced a fair bit with toys by myself and I had a few drinks the first time I was penetrated by another man.

Please be careful, have fun, and enjoy the exploration. Life is about trying new things. That's the only way to definitively learn what we like and love.

I've always wanted to try numbing lube before as I do frequently encounter large hurdles from time to time ;) :p

but then again isn't bottoming about taking some form of pain :p. The pain eventually should turn to pleasure at least when you have a good top by your side. Plus don't use numbing lube as a substitute, if a top is being too rough, communicate with him! Tell him how you like it, because if you don't like it, then the top won't have a good experience most times either. I do like to moan as it not only makes me harder but the top too, so I will stick to my drugstore ky jelly thank you very much :D

I'm not sure I agree that bottoming is about taking some form of pain. If the chemistry is right & the top knows what he is doing then there needn't necessarily be pain (unless that's what's wanted!) The best escort tops are masters of creating pleasure &, no matter the size of their assets, are able to provide experiences of pure euphoria & joy. This was proved to me recently by an expert escort who I'm glad to say is an active member of the forum :)

Do you book the hotel only for your session? Why don't you go to the escort's place?

I have to agree with @beachboy. I have been bottoming for long enough to be able to take an average sized cock with no pain, irrespective of foreplay, and larger cocks with minimal foreplay. Longer cocks still cause me discomfort if the top doesn't know what he's doing, and I don't intend to alter my physiology to accommodate those guys. So while a good top is important, there is plenty a bottom can do to avoid any pain at all.

The particular escort I posted about doesn't live near me & doesn't host so I travelled to see him & so had to book a hotel. I wondered if a neutral setting may be a problem but as soon as he entered the room it didn't matter & somehow the lack of intrusion into someone's life by not being in their home made sense. It was as if both parties 'owned' the space equally:)

I agree. Plus depending on the top I find some positions easier to handle and once I've been plowed a bit I can then move onto other positions. A great "lube" a man you trust and a nice connection makes for a great experience. A very wise escort once told me early on doing analysis is that the bottom is in control. If your not ready and willing and the mental part isn't there it won't work.

Could you please tell me which positions are easier to handle?

I have no trouble saying to tops, "it hurts" and having them withdraw and then try a different position or even just a change in angle. I make sure they go slowly, even if it's a 1/4 inch at a time, because I know it will all get in and once in, no problem at all.

For most, I start doggie-style and then I can get into any position. I will also say that having the top massage and stretch me starting with 1 finger, then, 2, then 3 for up to 15 minutes - really enjoying the prostate massage at the same time - easily then allows me to then start off in any position. This is especially important if he is "girthy" as opposed to long. Length is not quite as important for me as girth.

DO NOT employ topical anesthetics - you won't know if you injure yourself until later. Do not use poppers unless you are used to them and have no issues with blood pressure and especially if you are taking blood pressure medications, viagra, or cialis. I can't stress that more!

Finally, Jojoba oil is an emollient - moisturizes, softens the skin (or external sphincter) and seals the moisture in. That keeps the skin soft. Coconut oil does the same but be careful of the type of condom used because oils can destroy the integrity of some types of condom material. If you like what it does, use on a daily basis, not just when you will have a play date, ( a little dab will do ya - as the saying goes) and then make sure you wipe it all off before activity. That way you will be soft and stretchy where and when you need to be. Then, let the other party use the lube of his choice.

There does not need to be pain if you don't want it!

And, yes, the bottom DOES control the play.

Not to answer for MartyB, but I have found that depends on your anatomy, and the shape of the top's penis. Trial and error is required I'm afraid.

I have found that when I'm on my back and legs on my guys shoulders and he's looking at me as he's doing his thing makes me so at ease and eager to please. It makes for the connection as does riding him. Of course good lube and anal play gets me ready. Not all escorts prefer it perhaps but if it's my bottom then I'm calling the shots...

Me: I think we have to stop. I don't think I can do this.

Well-endowed EOY: I just have to find the right angle.

I always loved that conversation we had. :) I think I've shared it before.

And twice since then I've had to have guys stop and add more lube. Definitely talk to the guy doing the topping!
