I was wondering if people on here that wear an insulin pump or other medical device disclose it in the email or text before meeting an escort?

I am a type I diabetic and wear an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor. When playing with someone for the first time whether in a paid session or not before we get nude I always tell the person I am wearing both of the devices so they don't freak out seeing something connected to me.

Never been an issue for me and in fact the last time I hired (was Alexander Gustavo RIP) he told me he used to be an RN and was asking me about it after we played.

A friend of mine is also a diabetic and rarely hires but did and wears an insulin pump and he said the escort and him still played but the escort said that wearing an insulin pump or other medical device is something that should be disclosed to the escort ahead of time.

Not sure of the escorts reasoning but it has me wondering now

I would tell the guy when I meet him so he doesn't mess with it.

I think some devices should be discussed, some are unnecessary to discuss and then there is a third group which comes down to personal preference.

A pacemaker or implanted defibrillator, probably do not need to be discussed as they are internal and not likely to factor into any sexual play. If the defibrillator should go off during the act, well there are bigger fish to fry than whether the escort should have known or not.

A colostomy, prosthetic limb should definitely be discussed beforehand.

As to an insulin pump it seems it falls into the third category. I know some wearers of insulin pumps who take them off to shower and swim and to have sex to avoid damage or disruption. If you do not intend to wear it, then the point is moot. If you intend to wear it during the act, then the escort should know about it. If the idea of an insulin pump being present is enough to scare him off, you are better off with a different escort.

There seem to be a lot of questions about what to disclose and not to disclose - what's right and wrong, etc.

I think there are 3 simple reasons for disclosure.

Disclose if:

1. You're feeling self-conscious or like you might be rejected and would like to alleviate these concerns before the meeting.

2. The thing you are considering disclosing is something that would require special consideration from the escort during your encounter.

3. You are questioning whether or not to disclose.

I think fear of rejection is central to these disclosure questions. It might be helpful to remember that everyone is judging constantly and you are going to be judged - like it or not. That doesn't mean it's always going to be a negative judgment or result in rejection. It's just not a personal thing - it's someone else's judgment/opinion/thoughts/fears.

I have a great story about an overnight with a client using a CPAP Mask. He disclosed beforehand, so I was appreciative of the heads up. It was also nice as it was an indicator that it was "Time for bed"
