I'm curious, when an escort is visiting a major metro area is it appropriate to ask him where in the area he's staying?

Absolutely. When I travel, I'm almost always glad to host. While I prefer not to give out a room number or hotel name on a first email or something, I'm glad to say it's "right by Russell Square," or "near Union Station," so you've got an idea of whether it's easier to come see me or ask me back to yours.

When in doubt, always ask the questions that will make you more comfortable with the situation. Don't hold it in and wonder.

I always ask. Fort Lauderdale is too large and it can mean the difference of 45-60 minutes extra. More, if during rush hour traffic. Major cities, like Philadelphia, NYC, Chicago, LA, Vegas, SD, Houston, Denver... Even if the distance isn't great, you know the traffic patterns.

I even ask when they aren't travelling. The 'locals'. So many 'cities' include the surrounding neighborhoods and multiple counties.

Since scheduling and timing are important to both parties, it only makes sense to get a good feel for travelling time.
