Also, if you have a car and you have the time, you can go up into the mountains. There is a lookout point halfway up and then a small area that has small stores and outdoor shops (if I am remembering right). It is demonstrably cooler up there and when it was hot in PS (100+) I really appreciated that.

One of the weekends I was visiting it was the Hells Angels convention and the attendees would ride around town on their "hogs" all day and night. You couldn't hear each other talk so going up into the mountains also provided some relief.

Discriminating based on race is not acceptable. Discriminating based on anything else is ok.

Elmer's is highly recommended. We've been to PS a couple times. My wife loves the German pancakes and I enjoy the chicken fried steak and eggs. If you want something "nicer" than a cool diner like Elmer's, we've also enjoyed the French place, L'Atelier.
