High and Low seasons plus expectations?

Hey everyone!

 

Though it is most likely different everywhere, I was wondering what is the busiest and least busy time of the year for you in terms of work.

Also for us newbie escorts, if we were to live in a relatively large city and have a reasonable rate per hour how many clients could we expect to see in a month (approx). It'll likely depend on the escort (race, top or bottom, what they offer, twink or jock or bear or..etc) but just in an hypothetical normal month how often would a regular see you again and how often do you get new clients. Basically I'm trying to figure out if 10 clients a month is reasonable or is 5 a week possible what numbers seem within the realm of possibility.

I was thinking about this post today, and it leaves a lot to be answered.

 

What's considered a well established escort? Is it someone who's stayed in one area or someone who travels or both? How long does an escort have to be in said area to be considered well-established?

 

What's a relatively large market? What population baseline. Can you name certain cities? Can you cite actual references that shows more than 1 "well-established" escort easily getting 5 clients a week in said cities? Based on your charts and graphs, you mentioned you started in San Francisco and currently are in New York. Are you specifically just referring to those 2 areas?

 

Also, where are these 5 clients a week coming from? Rentboy is gone. Men4rent is stale, and backpage out the door. So you're saying that someone should still be able to get 5 clients a week easily, every week thru just rentmen and adam4adam...with perhaps miscellaneous ads on hookup apps? You've mentioned before a4a only makes up about 1% of actual clients.

 

Pardon to grill you with questions, but whenever I hear words like "should" and "easily" it sounds more speculative than matter of fact. And that can severely hurt people and dash their expectations. It also gives clients the erroneous impression that we escorts are fine if they cancel or flake because after all...we're seeing 5 clients a week/day, etc.

 

So far, in the month of January between 2 non large market cities, only 2 clients have shown up. TWO. Despite the much more than that who have alluded to making an appointment and not shown up. So if you refer to 5 clients a week as 5 calls...Absolutely. But, it's not New York so the differences may not be relative.

To control for shorter and longer months, you could also do a chart of average revenue per day per calendar month. Just a thought. It probably wouldn't tell that different a story of course.
