Issues Updating Hourboy

Hey Guys -

 

Anyone else having issues updating Hourboy? I've had issues for months. I keep getting an error stating that my headline requires X number of characters. I've written the site multiple times, but it seems as though no one is steering the ship anymore. Before it wasn't an issue, but now I've relocated and I'm unable to move my ad or ad another city.

 

Any advice appreciated. I've tried multiple browsers and computers. Always the same issue.

I'm impressed you're able to log in. I've been getting a 502 bad gateway error for a day or so. History suggests that will be resolved in a few days.

 

I keep an ad there only because it's free. I've only seen a handful of clients from there. Curiously, those bookings have been higher revenue than my average, however.

 

A while back I had some issue deleting a travel ad and they were pretty helpful, but I also decided it wasn't worth the hassle of keeping that site advised of my travel plans.

 

I would log in and try to replicate your issue, but as I said, I can't.

I gave up on hourboy long ago and never looked back. I suppose the fact that one client paid for one year gold membership for me on rentmen has something to do with it, but also I haven't had any problems at all with their site.

Can't update ad. Even tried creating a new one and it did the same thing.

As a client, I have noticed that there are more outdated ads than current ones, at least in certain cities. Many of the escorts listed no longer work, or have moved, or have dead phone numbers and email addresses, etc., so I doubt you're the only one with issues regarding that pointless website. Are there any other sites which offer free listings?

ROTFLMAO! It figures. Hourboy basically sucks, but at least daddysreviews and rentmen are still around. I do miss rentboy, though.

As part of my hobby I kinda track “stats” for Vegas.

 

I’ve never tried to track Hourboy because it seemed hopeless to even try to sort the active ads from the the ancient inactive ones.

 

There is a website I’ve started watching trying to decide its validity - or if it is just populated by ads scammed from other sites. I don’t know if it’s free or not. For the past few weeks it has listed around 30 Vegas ads.

Thanks guys. Looks like the issue isn't limited to just me. I only get a few gigs from there each year, but they've been really great paying ones and I just didn't want to let it sit idle in Seattle. Oh well. Not sure what happened to the site owner. I believe he is a former porn performer/escort.

Good to know I'm not the only one having problems with HourBoy. Like Zach, I can't update my profile for a while now without it throwing a nonsense error about "must have more than 50 characters" In the past I could make forms on the site work only with Internet Explorer, which tells me it was made a long time ago. No one seems to be at the helm any more. I emailed repeatedly about the error. I never get a response.
