I was wondering if anyone had some advice.

There are sites such as RentMasseur. However, I need to figure out how to tell the difference between someone who does _only_ massages, while others are escorts as well as masseur. A massage does nothing for me, so I'd stand to lose money if a massage-only guy came.

No sure way in my experience, it's always been a bit of a crapshoot. You can make some guesses based on the pictures, how revealing they are, but some sites are starting to restrict revealing pictures completely (I think massagem4m has started this). Ditto on the text, but that's not a sure bet as well. I met a pro off Adam4Adam with plenty of revealing pictures who didn't even undress for the massage. On the other hand I've met guys whose ads and pics were pretty tame, and ended up being open to a lot.

I'm also having trouble understanding what exactly you're looking for. It could be just imprecise language. When you say "escort" do you just mean provide a happy ending? Or are you actually looking for a full escort experience?

I think it's trickiest for guys who don't want, or don't want to pay for, a full escort service, but definitely want a happy ending. If this is the situation, your best bet may be to start with an escort ad that mentions they provide massage services and then contact them about their rate for an erotic massage only. I can think of one really hot guy in Las Vegas who advertises on Rentmen but is very clear that he also does massages. Pretty sure he quotes his escort rate in the ad, but his massage rate is lower. (Just don't try to bait and switch. :) )

Yeah, I too am a little confused with what the OP is looking for. I began my journey to sex-work through doing massage and I'm deeply passionate about it and do great bodywork. In 95%+ of all inquiries I get about massage, the client is looking for something more than therapeutic, therefore I have stopped advertising therapeutic massage rates; afterall, I'm being paid for my time, not any particular service. Unfortunately this makes it impossible for me to compete rate-wise with masseurs that do strictly therapeutic work, but it easier than all the back and forth with someone who wants something erotic but wants to pay less.

We've had many discussions about this subject (masseurs who do "more," what that "more" might consist of, etc.), but it was only when I read Lance's reply that the obvious question occurred to me: "why do we assume escort services should cost more than therapeutic massage services?" Isn't there a good argument to be made that an hour's therapeutic massage -- at least when done right -- requires at least as much skill, work, and energy as an hour spent escorting?

OK, I realize that this is not true across the board, but it's surely true some of the time, yes?

Just to be clear: I am not attacking Lance's reply, nor do I disagree with his larger point (which to me has to do with expectations and communication).

How do you define "a full escort experience"?

I consider getting a massage and hiring an escort to be mutual exclusive activities - though sometimes, if an escort knows what they're doing, starting off with a little massaging can be a good ice breaker. My issue has always been trying to find a gay massage therapist who does *only* therapeutic massage - now I just address the issue up-front and tell them I'm looking only for a therapeutic massage. I can't truly relax when getting a message if I think or know something else is getting ready to happen. By the same token, if I'm looking to hire an escort, it ain't because my shoulder muscles are overly tense. ;)

How do you define "a full escort experience"?

It varies from client to client of course, but it's that variability that is costing you more (at least in my mind.) For me, it's a boyfriend experience that involves a lot of kissing, a lot of oral and a lot of access to the escort's body. I know it happens, but these aren't things that I would expect from even the most erotic of massages.

I'm very much like @UpDownUnder. When I'm getting a massage, I want a massage to relax and not have any sexual tension involved. I'm always on the hunt for an actual CMT that happens to be gay and not afraid to actually do your glutes and upper hamstrings i'm just not willing to pay the prices listed on the gay massage websites and hope they really know know how to give a good massage.

So, you consider intercourse a requirement of a "full escort experience"?

Surely with over 2000 posts you aren't surprised that @nycman is going to require that someone be penetrated... And it ain't going to be him. :)

I've mentioned before that intercourse isn't a priority for me and most often not even on the menu. A good example of where we could both hire the same guy providing full escort services and both be quite happy.

For me, erotic massage++ involves a decent, even legitimate/certified massage. Some respectful touching, hand release at end, *maybe* receive oral from masseur, that's rare. Remain on the table, letting masseur do the service.

Vs. full escort, conversation, kissing, mutual oral assured, body contact, anal if desired/discussed. NOT just laying on the table/bed masseur style, mutual fun as opposed to masseur doing the work/service.

I personally think there needs to be better communication. I am a licensed aesthetician so I have legit massage clients though I dont do deep tissue. Just like in the spa your therapist should be asking you what's you are looking for experience wise. They should be asking you what main areas you need worked on, check in with pressure and comfortability.

With my escort clients, though still fairly new, I have made sure to ask them what they were looking for. Can't make a fantasy into reality without first knowing what you're dreaming of haha!

And then of course there is a difference between sensual and sexual massage. Auromatherapy, wraps, ect ect.

Why would you think I'd be aware of his hiring practices?

It was a joke, but he is one of the more vocal pure tops in the Forum. Maybe you missed all those posts. Maybe you don't pay any attention to who posts what. I'm not trying to insult you. I don't care who you pay attention to and who you don't. I just thought it was amusing that you would ask that particular person that particular question.

LOL It’s all good. No offense taken. Other than posts made by members I’ve met and, of course, those made by Mocha and his various reincarnations, I don’t usually make the association between a post and the poster.

An easy solution would be to go to the escort sites and hire somebody who advertises as an escort.

Yup. I agree with this. I only have an escort profile and do not offer massages at all. I do get requests for a straight massage or massage included, but that is not the skill I have to offer that my clients are paying for. I always stay in my lane so that I am 100% confident that my clients will be completely satisfied

It's perfectly normal to ask someone on a gay male massage site whether or not they "escort" or provide "full service" sessions. If they are insulted, they are in the wrong business. Keeping in mind prostitution IS illegal....so discretion is important and euphemism is the key to keeping both parties out of trouble with the law.

  • 4 weeks later...

It is kind of bizarre that some "massage therapists" charge 180 and up for a massage. I have asked " I am just looking for a nude massage." and gotten a response of 200, 240....and it has been my experience that some of the less expensive massages, 120, 140 are good and naked ! I have even had a great experience with a nude male massage therapist and at the end he said, " I can give a H if you want.." to which I said, well, no thanks then.

in my opinion I appreciate directness, and a bit of enthusiasm for 180 bucks.
