it's most likely a packer, it helps some trans-men have the sense of having something between their legs, and this helps to avoid them experiencing gender dysphoria. Transmen can get variety of different packers in a range of synthetic material and sizes, and even ones that help them to pee standing up.

 

This is why I would never discount having a physical or emotional connection with a trans-man....they are after all male, and there a plenty of toys both of you can enjoy.

I'm over 30 and I understand the difference. It is easiest is when I think of a child who feels that although he is in a male body he is actually a female. The second is a teenager (or whenever we feel our sexuality) and he/she is sexually attracted to the same sex. Of course, ages differs for both situations. I might not feel sexual attraction for the same sex until I am an adult. I think that it is less common that a child, say 5 y.o., who is sexually attracted to either sex.

I have a mostly practical concern about having sex with a trans-man. The FTM surgery has a long way to go before trans-men will resemble cis-men below the belt. One wanting to have sex with a trans-man would need to be very open-minded on this score.

 

I don't see why it would be an issue for a top at all. Even if you're a bottom, there are such things as strap-on dildos and prostheses. While the presence of the y chromosome is a necessary condition for the normal development of a phenotypic male, I agree that it may not be sufficient. Your post seemed to posit that the intrauterine environment alone is what determines sex/gender.

Sorry, my mistake, I was talking about influence. The context was a science program here that pointed to (but did not prove) that there was an in utero explanation of why (and I'm not using scientifically specific terms) physical gender expression might not match the 'brain' expression, and that might be that the two were determined at different times in embryonic development. I guess it's too complicated to work through here!
