I once attended a lecture by her in the mid to late 1980's when I was in school. I'm trying to remember what she talked about. I have vague memories she talked about faith and having a sense of humor. She also related a story IIRC about being beaten out of part as a child by Shirley Temple.

Very interesting read. I remember her only as Josephine the plumber. Never realized she had such an extensive and impressive entertainment career.
