There is nothing wrong with baby-geek, but longer-haired Kit Harrington as Jon Snow is much more distinctive. It can also be fun to run your fingers through long hair.

 

Agreed, baby-geek Kit was the sort of guy I had major crush in my early 20s, where as long hair Jon is just beautiful and deadly!

Hair length aint a deal breaker for me... I am rarely "up that high" to notice..... I enjoy a long haired guy, as long as that long hair "aint between his legs".....

When I had shoulder length hair in the 1970's, I took a lot of unsolicited negative criciticsm from mature women telling me how handsome I could be if I wore my hair short "like a man", because men equaled short hair and short hair equaled men. I looked silly, like a girl, effeminate, etc, etc. The joke to me was that most of these women WORE THEIR HAIR REAL SHORT, and would have been highly offended if I had said they were BUTCH or looked like an ugly effeminate man in their hair style. Its the same with beards. Many females seem to feel they have the right to openly make negative comments about a man's beard when no one asked them. If you can't say something nice....... Unless asked!

So we got the side of what mature short haired "butch" women thought about your hair, but how did YOU feel about your hair (though I can imagine from what you said above)? What did your peers and prospective partners think of it?

 

A big factor of why I can like guys no matter what their hair length, is if they are actually comfortable with how they look!

Such a great observation!! Of course, 50% of why i liked it was because it was in style and other young men....and women.....liked it. 40% was that I thought I looked handsome with long hair. 10% was because it annoyed older people which was the whole point of the counter culture!

I tend to strongly prefer short hair, except when I unexpectedly like long hair. I'm even attracted to man buns these days! Not proud of this but it's true.
