I guess it shows how much we buy into social constructs of gender. Men have just the same 'natural' propensity to have long hair of course, so there's nothing inherently masculine about short hair.

 

Omg that hair is gorgeous...imagine running your fingers through it, or or pulling ar it at certain peaking moments!

 

The long hair definitely suits him, such a beach babe....makes a difference to all the sexy lumberjacks that have been around for the last decade.

Hehe, obviously the other thread is a huge indicator of "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" etc etc etc, I happen to think hair length doesn't matter as long as it suits the guy or girl. I do kinda resent gender stereotypes society enforces and how individuals can destroy those stereotypes within their own personal lives, Remember, plenty of women have short hair and are really feminine, and and I'm sure that some guys with long hair have plenty of other ways to reinforce their so called masculinity.

 

I like guys with short crew cuts, I like guys with long flowing beach locks, and those hipster guys with that trendy undercut :)

Ok, Ive carefully considered the above options, and who wouldn't want Thor in full in full costume thundering away at them? Legolas with short black hair looks haggard and I wouldn't touch wolverine in any hair length with a barge pole (I hate Hugh Jackman with a vengeance).

It depends on the person and the haircut. For example, I think #2, whoever he is (I don't recognize him), looks better with longer hair. He might look fine with shorter hair too, but the short haircut shown is too short and unflattering given his features and the shape of his face.

 

Orlando Bloom has never looked better than when he played Legolas. Just saying...

 

I don't get the seemingly absolute association of short hair with masculinity and long hair with femininity. 'Twas not always so. It's completely a cultural thing.

 

The obsession some straight guys have with long hair on women baffles me, too. Too many women have long hair that looks messy, has no shape, has no oomph, or obscures flattering features like eyes or cheekbones. Others look amazing with short hair but less so with long or even medium length hair.

#2 is one of the Jonas brothers, I don'r know which one. Strangely, I think he looks better wit the short hair o_O

You would after you had "feasted" your eyes on that super-gorgeous pool boy at the Hotel Presidente in Habana, Cuba.

I saw him and could not believe the vision by which I was captured. On our bus later that day, some of the older women began talking about him. Did I chime in? NO!

There is nothing wrong with baby-geek, but longer-haired Kit Harrington as Jon Snow is much more distinctive. It can also be fun to run your fingers through long hair.
