I had arranged a meeting with a client (John 1) today.

The person who showed up (John 2) thought he was responding to a casual Craigslist Ad.

(John 1) created a craigslist ad with my personal information listed with his email.

Myself and (John 2) had been texting (John 1).

(John 1) arranged the whole thing unbeknown to either of us and must have been watching us from afar to have known what we were wearing and the situation. (Creepy)

(John 2) showed me all the emails between them with my photos and personal information.

I was very fortunate that the guy who showed up was a really cool individual and we laughed about it. However escorts beware, this is not only a safety hazard but also potential headache if the individual who got tricked as well makes a scene.

End of the day, live and learn.

That's freaky Hunter.

This is exactly why I ask everyone where they seen my ad, their stats, and if anything sounds weird, call them or have them call you. However, this sounds eerily similar to the guy (or shall I say dumbass) who said, "I thought you were a girl I was contacting". I'm sure he was making it up, otherwise he wouldnt of so easily handed me my $50 bullshit goose chase fee.

You'll be surprised, many times I call numbers and it goes to a Skype voicemail or some generic "the person you're calling can't take the call". If they can't talk on the phone when my text flag goes, I won't have them over.

I've had some crazy shit happen to me too, but this particular incident seems rather isolated and uncommon. It's almost the sailor moons of a catfish of sorts...

The scenario you described is sometimes the setup for a scam. When it's a scam, John1 and John2 are the same person and the "confusion" is discovered at the end of the meeting, when it's time to pay.

That's what crossed my mind too. Even if the guy did show another phone number, it was probably him the whole time.

I'm tired of getting scammed. I don't care anymore if the other person feels like I don't trust them. No I don't trust you. I just met you a minute ago, the book says don't put your trust in man. Now give me my goddamn coin.

Thanks for telling us - what a world - you couldn't make this stuff up!

Hunter, I'm sorry this happened to you and John 2. Obviously, John 1 has a mental issue or two to get off on a scam like this one.

You and John 2 should have texted John 1 thanking him for the great time you had together. Both of you could have played this guy at his own game.

Hunter to John 1: "John 2, it was a pleasure to meet you and I enjoyed our time together. You are one sexy dude. Thank you the extra $200 tip, you really didn't need to do that, you're so sweet. "

John 2 to John 1: "Hunter, You are AWESOME! That was wild, I've never cum that much in my life! You deserve that extra tip, you Rock! Can't wait to see you again."

Imagine how confused and deflated he'd be afterwards. :D

I chuckled when I read that last night; then it occurred to me, John 1 doesn't need any encouragement whatsoever.

Did you talk with John 2 about money?

Your experience is saddening but not surprising. It seems that virtually every day there is evidence of more ways the convenience and anonymity of cyberspace have been usurped and convoluted for the deceiving, corrupt and cruel initiatives of countless numbers of the emotionally adrift and morally depleted.

I'm pleased, as I'm sure others are, that your experience ended without real injury to either party. :)
