I guess, since I have the 1932 version on my avatar with Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen O'Sullivan, I must comment on these.

 

They are mildly amusing. I haven't seen all of the REAL "action" in these. I think the lead fits the role very well. In fact, he is better looking than either Johnny or Gordon Scott or any of the others. His tattoo on the arm is out of place, but I guess that could be incorporated into The Plot. Somebody wrote it on his arm when he was a baby lost in the jungle.

 

The rest of the cast is... well... miscast. They look like they just stopped off of a Caribbean Cruise Ship. I would favor the turn-of-the-century Jungle Explorer type searching for lost ivory... and sweating through their Edwardian dress shirts. Not so young.

 

Better yet. Have a Jane on this show, but have Tarzan fall for a guy instead of her. She gets stuck in the Neil Hamilton role as the jilted fiancé, since her man has been kidnapped by Tarzan but doesn't want to leave the jungle.

I liked this, it is much better than the average porn video you see. But I agree with all of Longtime Lurker's comments. The Tarzan is hot! The other 3 guys ruin it. I would maybe keep one of them as comedy relief, then cast a hot masculine hunter who is guiding Jane and her hot professor type husband through the jungle.

Love the DC comics rendition.

 

All too often The Ape Man is shown "plucked" and TOO muscular, but the one depicted here is just right. While I would never expect him to be indistinguishable from Cheetah, he still needs hair on his chest. This one not only looks otter-ish but he swims like an otter as well.

 

Not knowledgeable enough on famous porn stars and would need to reference the official field guide on the other thread "The Hot Guy Alphabet Game", but an alternative version here could cast the even hairier Aybars in the title role. Like this one, he can be all innocent as Nature Boy, being clueless about how to do kiss properly but still take charge in multiple other ways. Take your pick as to who should play Jane, but make sure she looks like she is lacking satisfaction. Have her engaged to Conner Habib sporting the nerdy glasses and forcing the porters to carry all of his books... and more books... since he needs a full library to keep him happy on the Ivory Hunt. (Alas... the real Conner is spending too much time these days writing about sex on his blogs and needs to get back in the saddle.) Poor Jane has assumed her future husband is impotent, but the jungle call brings out an awakening that the previously hetero Conner had not reckoned with. Of course, we will need somebody who is too gun happy, shooting at everything in sight. Maybe Adam Russo is too soft for such a role, but at least he is quick with the trigger. Allen Silver can play Jane's father as a better endowed version of C. Aubrey Smith.
