some of the US athletes seem to be sporting popped collars....jeez, we were making fun of Ralph Lauren (and LaCoste) polo-style popped collars back when I was in college, more than thirty years ago!

 

love popped collars, great look ,glad it will be back in style!

ostensibly, popped collars help keep you from getting too much sun on your neck while out on your yacht....:rolleyes:

 

but, with apologies to the Groton and Choate set, nowadays, it is the ultimate expression of douchbaggery....

We all know that sometimes these things have a mind of their own and pop up at the most inopportune time. The best thing to do is to think about button-down collars and hope that your polo shirt collar returns to the flaccid state before anyone notices.
