John McMartin, who appeared on Broadway in Sweet Charity, Follies, Show Boat, Into the Woods, Anything Goes, Grey Gardens, and All the Way has died at the age of 86. In addition to his work in the Theater, he was regularly seen in roles on television and film.

Here is a clip of him from 2010 singing " The Road you didn't take " from Follies. His voice is a shred of what it was in his prime, but he still knows how to deliver this remarkably poignant song.

 

He originated the role of Benjamin Stone in Follies in 1971.

Thanks for posting. I am not even a major "Follies" fan, and still very much enjoyed the song.
