Just wondering what forum members think of the photo-shopped pictures that pop up all over the internet. Here's a few fakes that have been posted to this forum within that last few weeks. I used google to find the original. Personally, I don't care if someone wants to get a little creative with a photo as long as it doesn't look ridiculous (as some of these do) and they don't use it in an escort ad.

Viewing porn is as much a FANTASY as hiring escorts, so if someone takes a bit of "creative license" it aint hurtin no one.... Allow the people that want the Fantasy to have it ! Certianly by now, one can usually spot pics that have been tampered with. Of course, using doctored photos in promotional advertising is a NO-NO....

When it's only for fun, or art, or entertainment, I see no harm in photoshopping an image. In their own way, portrait painters have been "photoshopping" paintings of their clients/patrons for centuries. Cosmetic surgeons have been doing it to faces, bellies and butts for decades.

That said, it's certainly true that things can be overdone, that instead of enhancing the beauty or erotic appeal of a photo (or a painting or a person), an "enhancement" ends up looking ridiculous. Not that we'd ever all agree on when that line is crossed. It's an "eye of the beholder" situation. Similarly, a Tom of Finland drawing may look silly, or even grotesque, to some; to others, its exaggerations are potently homoerotic.

I prefer men in their natural state but I am not dead set against someone having a little fun with photoshop. I am dead set against celebrities being photo shopped... for example a celebrity's head on someone elses naked body... I think that is just obnoxious.

The only time I'm annoyed by photo-shopped images is when someone tries to pass them off as real. We all know a vast number of images online are tweaked, enhanced, etc. to get the best possible look. That's fine so long as it doesn't introduce deception and try to pass it off as truth.
