Hello sexy ones!

I have noticed an increase in the number of escorts advertising in DC using M4RN. Some of them have already a profile published in Rentmen, some are even participants in this forum.

My question for you all is, is this a new trend? Has anyone noticed that M4RN is now more effective than we all think it is?

Thank you!

men4rent as an escort is trash... First I've heard from many escorts here say they get no business there, I can vouch on that. I rarely get clients there or I get messages from scam artist who are coming to new york on a job assignment and then want my address so they can send me money beforehand... which is just odd.

Then when your profile expires thats when you gets so many messages from clients when in reality I feel like its just men4rent staff posing as clients so you can rejoin the website to view the messages. After my profile expired I literally got 7 messages in a few days. coincidence i think not lol

Even using men4rent as a client I see no purpose as you can easily find the same guys there on rentmen, plus rent men's website seems more updated and modern than men4rent.

I've hired a few guys from M4RN; most have turned out fine except for one. It's not as reliable as RM but I do occasionally see someone there who is not anywhere else.

It's also helpful to look for additional info on RM guys... such as different pics or some different profile text.

Unlike RM, negative reviews will 'stick' on M4RN (i.e., not be removed by the administrators) though the advertiser can choose to disable all reviews - that's one of the biggest red flags there is.

Rentmen is just as shady as M4RN to be honest. I've seen and herd many times the admins on RentMen removing the negative review just to say "we're giving that escort a chance to get a good review before a negative review" then the next day I seen 4 guys with negative reviews as their first. So is Rentmen playing favorties?? Reguardless, I'd never allow myself a negative experience with a client, the negative ones can leave and they may also keep their money. So it just makes me ponder... All it takes is a phone call and a sexy voice to obsurce a negative review?? At least Men4rentnow tells you the escorts handle their own reviews so you should only expect some fake bullshit there. I never joined M4RN and I never will. I'd post on Craigslist, Backpage and Grindr before joining M4RN.

besides all the cons about men4rent this is what i don't like about rentmen. In the homepage where you see the "featured guys" "new guys" and "online now" tabs they always put the same people on the featured guys and online now home page. Literally seen the same guys on that section for weeks and months. They need to seriously change it up and give other escorts a shot. Don't know if its randomly bc if it was they would be more faces on that or do you have to pay to be there.

I was just going to post this exact same question just now. I got many clients over the years from M4RN; however, the overwhelming majority of the email amounted to nothing. I've been out of the loop for 6 months, so I was wanting to know if M4RN had picked up in the months after the raid. It sounds like it has not. I guess I'll not spend that money. It's rather disheartening that there are so few options. But RM does have a really well designed site. Has the traffic there picked up in the last several months? It has lots of great features, but I found that months would go by without even getting an inquiry from that ad.

Although my main source of contact is through RM (RB before that) and occasionally twitter :p I do check M4RN because two guys I like a lot only advertise on it. Well one of the two contacts me every time he's going to be in the area. So I don't use M4RN for him. The other however, isn't as proactive with contact. So i check it sometimes to see if he's coming to town.

Incidentally I had to educate my "kid brother" the other day on who JD was.

Lol, THIS! Haha. I was going to disagree at your comment about it being trash, but you are very correct that whenever an ad expires from the site, you suddenly get bombarded with emails. On several occasions I've returned those emails getting either no reply...or a dead end reply. I'll go so far to even say even genuine men4rent emailers tend to be very sketchy and unreliable. I had to get to where I request payment after about 2-3 emails, unless they call. Men4rent just isn't interactive enough. Even the links for our website and Twitter are so small and barely noticeable and hidden among all the garbage interface or the website. Just pisses me off.

My ad on m4rn has been expired for I think 2 weeks or so. I'm going to renew it soon, but I only like to use it when traveling. The site is a bit sketchy and one off, but they still have a hold on the Google search. However I can certainly say, I signed up for the site around 2009...it's definitely not what is used to.

The good news is, rentmen is growing popularity where it once wasn't. This is excellent news and I can officially say rentmen is now finally leading, especially since rentboy died. Rentmen just needs to reach small towns like Tucson, Kansas City, and El Paso...and it'll replace men4rents small town charm.

Depends on where you're using it at. It seems a Platinum ad works to get quick responses when traveling. I know some guys still faithfully buy the monthly Platinum ads, but to me the return on investment for the cost doesn't always benefit better than the lesser tiers.

I still can't understand til this day why men4rent wants $49 for a 10 day platinum trial, when you can get 30 days gold on rentmen for less than that. And men4rents old sorry behind interface wants $30 for a piece of crap bronze ad that is severely lacking in privledges. Just talking about it makes me want to just stop using it. Rather focus on my own website.

Never liked it. Useless.

Living in a smaller city, I've often found that the traveling guys on M4RN don't advertise on RM, although, as noted, RM seems to be becoming more popular. However, I have met some of my favorite traveling escorts (who have become some of my regular hires whenever they visit!) through M4RN over the years. I do believe if you are in a major metropolitan area like NYC or Chicago, RM is a much better choice but if you are in a smaller city, M4RN seems to have more variety. It does seem to have to do with geography and those escorts who enjoy travelling to some of the smaller areas seem more likely to put up ads on M4RN, in my experience. Of course, I always check both M4RN and RM to see who is scheduled to be traveling through!

I hear the same re: smaller cities and sometimes travel can be served by M4RN. Like most 2nd/3rd tier sites like this, you need to be a bit more careful and diligent, but sometimes it's all you got!

RM and M4RN Stats - Las Vegas

I only track Las Vegas. But this may be of interest anyway. I know each market is different and certain markets favor RM or M4RN over the other. The following LV stats provided are not perfect - but the general trend likely is. I typically pull my stats about mid day on Wednesday.

RB

30APR15: 80

02SEP15: 0 (just after raid)

RM

30APR15: 27

02SEP15: 49

06JAN16: 91

08JUN16: 91

M4RN

30APR15: 39/23*

02SEP15: 46/41*

06JAN16: 59/41*

08JUN16: 44/37*

M4RN: *1st number is total ads. 2nd number is ads with phone contact info. Lack of a phone contact number indicates a high probability the ad has expired.

Could you please clarify: Are these the number of escorts advertising in LV on these sites on these dates, or are these the number of responses you got for your ad in LV from those sites on those specific dates?
