Backpage experiences?

Being the least tech/net savvy millennial, I've only just come across the site and was wondering if anybody had any experiences with advertising or meeting on there. At first glance it seems a less restrictive Craigslist clone but I've never advertised on there so I don't know what to expect from site like this.

I actually found Brad Hollibaugh on Backpage several years ago.

I have never spoken to anyone on backpage that turned out to be the person who's photo was posted. I have had a few good experiences with nice young men, but NONE of them looked like their pix....so if you're going to be super picky. I would avoid backpage.

I once met a guy who advertised on RB and backpage. He offered various services and liked to change his ad depending on his mood and the services he was providing. I guess it was easier to change his ad on BP than on RB. Once he advertised that he was able to provide services with a porn star, initials BE, for the day only ... it turned out to be a very interesting experience. I've had both good and bad experiences with BP but I always look to see if he advertises on multiple sites.
