Beautiful Jorge Ilich (Jorge Navas) died on Sunday night under mysterious circumstances in Miami, FL. We are heartbroken within the PnV family and our extended family, and send our condolences to his family and friends. I first met Jorge two days after his 26th birthday on Dec. 30, 2014. As old followers may know, back then I did ‘twitter interviews’ with new and top models since I lacked a web presence. Jorge had caught my eye, and I worked very hard to get his attention. We finally connected on that day. He was very eager to do an interview with me. Despite some language barriers, we got to know each other over the next…what would sadly be… the final 18 months of his life. One thing I’ve learned about twitter and social media is that you can make friendships and bonds that are meaningful despite no face to face interaction. You can learn a lot through words. Jorge was sweet and playful, yet very serious about his craft. His death was ruled a suicide. It boggles the mind that a man with so much going for him could take his own life...

Meet Sam Coy, a young model you probably haven't seen much of. That's because he is just now getting serious about modeling. We first met Sam a few months ago when we used this photo (right) of him on a soccer story. He kindly asked us to take it down, and we immediately wondered if it was homophobia. We were wrong. Sam is a wonderful gay-friendly guy and a lifelong soccer player (who says he's damn good) who is now looking for representation for modeling.

I used to go to Sam for all of my cell phone needs when he worked at Verizon Wireless. He was always available to help, very knowledgable and did whatever he could to make sure I got the best deals.

So when Sam told me he was leaving the company and starting at Farmers I didn't hesitate to meet with him about switching agencies. I knew no matter what the price change would be, it was going to benefit me to be insured by Sam because of his EXCEPTIONAL customer service and genuine business practices(he did save me money by the way, lots). Maybe someday Sam will open an auto shop and I won't be worried about getting ripped off there, either.

 

I've only had Sam for a short time now but him and his office go above and beyond. Sam has always been on top of things and is very easy to get ahold of when needed. While I was on my way to go see him I got rear ended pretty good. I called Sam once I was able to pull the car into a parking lot. He could hear how shaken up I was and he drove clear from his office in Milwaukie to meet me in Tualatin. A 45 min drive at the start of rush hour traffic on the freeway. It was such a relief to see him in a moment where I was very shaken up.
