Alan Valdez, born 1988, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, is a Mexican model currently living in San Diego, California. All his life, Valdez liked to play sports and was named in All-State several teams.

Could you tell us a bit about yourself and how you started training?

I started lifting weights when I was about to turn 17. The reason was because I wanted to be a Pro Basketball player, and I always looked up to the top players in the NBA, and a lot of them were muscular, like Dwayne Wade or Stephon Marbury, Dwight Howard, etc. I was a really skinny kid, and I figured gaining some muscle would help me to improve my game.

How do you stay motivated?

At the beginning, looking at pictures/videos of famous Bodybuilders and fitness models like Arnold or Greg Plitt would give me a lot of motivation because I wanted to be like them, but with the years, it was more about just to be the best I can be, and try to improve every year.

What are your plans for the future?

Become a Fitness Icon and be the best Mexican Fitness model in history.
