This is beginning to be what we used to call "airport malaria." An airplane comes from a malaria (or Zika) infested area and carries with it a mosquito or two. Passengers are infected either on the plane or after deplaning when the mosquito zooms into the airport and especially into the transit lounge (international) or the air line club.

After all the bad weather, there goes the naled!

Why they haven't decided to radiate (sterilize) the males - they only mate once and it's the females who bite - as a way of cutting down reproduction, I don't know!

Unless you are planning to poop out a baby-- I don't think it's much of an issue. Actually, anything that slows the breeders down piques my interest!

 

Zika won't slow the breeders down anymore than Thalidomide did in the 1960s. It does, however, cause tragic brain damage in the developing fetus.
