How many escorts utilize Twitter and how effective is it in the business? I just created my very first Twitter account and now I am trying to get some followers and figure out how it fits in with all of this.

Like @TylerandAce said, it's a great place to send people to see pictures of you. I twat new pics fairly frequently, so there's always something to check out. It's not a place I find clients looking, but I enjoy having the outlet to share some pictures, and interact a little bit. I think the name recognition is good and it can be a useful tool for letting people know who you are.

Although twitter is not where I go to look for escort, I'm much more likely to hire a guy if he has a twitter account -- especially if it has recent activity and pictures. There are so many fakers out there and an active twitter account gives him more legitimacy (for me anyway).

Agree. I follow both Eric and T&A on twitter (and a few others from here). It gives me additional insights into their personalities and interests, including things that might not come up in here. Also, it gives me somewhere else to post incomprehensible or injudicious comments when I've had too much to drink.

It may make hiring more likely or it may confirm an inclination to hire that I had already formed. The absence of a twitter account would not make me decide not to hire.

Meh. I think prolific, witty posters may get a gig or two from it, but I never thought it was a good return on all the time they spent. A few friends get occasional gifts through a combination of twitter and their Amazon wishlist. @kevinslater13 on twitter (Trust me, I'm more interesting on this message forum.)

From this client's perspective, it doesn't matter one way or the other. I follow escorts I've hired, mainly to see pics and to get notice of travel plans (assuming they post them there). Frankly, it seems like a lot of effort that would not have a lot of return.

Twitter primarily lets consumers see what escorts are like when they are not in forums like this one. A couple of escorts who post around here (off & on) seem to come off pretty shitty in their Twitter posts, so for that, it helps consumers decide "Do I want this guy balls deep in my ass now that I know he's a tremendous shit?". It also is used by some escorts (i.e. Shay Michaels) to promote their schedule availability. Twitter can be a straight business tool or just a space for word vomiting....how you use it is totally up to you.

I've actually gotten a lot traffic because of Twitter. Those who aren't necessarily looking specifically for an escort find themselves suddenly interested in hiring one. I find it useful in showing off pictures I wouldn't upload to RentMen. More of my not so "pretty and posed" pictures that are expected of me. It allows me to show my real side basically.
