It is not a surprise to see nude photos of many of these brilliant men, but GBS?! Who knew? Also, I think this is the only picture I have ever seen of the illusive Mr. Salinger. Thank you, Moondance. As always, you offer a great start to my day.

Great collection. I used to chat with Christopher Isherwood in the steam room at my Gym back in the 70s. I had no idea who he was. One day my friend ( who preferred dry Sauna to Steam ) came into the Steam room. Shortly after he arrived Isherwood left, and he grabbed my arm and said " Do you know who that was?" I said "that's Chris". He then explained who I was talking to, and the Silver haired shirtless hunk that I had lusted after for weeks was his longtime companion Don Bachardy.
