He may not be to most of your tastes, but I've had a crush on the smart, quirky co-star of TV's Criminal Minds ever since the show began. He's also done modeling, particularly when he was a student at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. And since I ran across a great photo of him today on his Twitter account, here you go.

He very ethereal-looking and geeky, but he has bigger guns than you might expect. No, not those kind of guns. I have no idea! Also, he doesn't care about crossdressing or looking silly. Here he is mugging it up for the camera with co-star Kristen Vangsness.

Gubler majored in directing in college, not acting, and he's directed an episode of the show every year since midway through the show's run. His episodes are usually among the quirkiest (and scariest) of the bunch. On his offtime, he draws, shoots videos, and acts in indie films, usually offbeat horror movies.

 

For those of you who wish I posted photos of Criminal Minds co-star Shemar Moore instead, he's great and handsome and built, but the buzzcut (or whatever it is he does to his hair) ruins it for me.

I'm not that into super-developed muscles both because of aesthetics and also because being reminded I can easily be overcome (my upper arms, etc. are about as strong as a limp noodle; I am having trouble opening a fresh jar of peanut butter because it's so tightly closed) doesn't appeal to me. Shemar Moore is a good-looking guy, and more conventionally good-looking than Gubler, but I prefer the way he looks with more clothes on than that. The hat does a good job of hiding the haircut, though.
