Hi Keith, I have read the whole thread and looked at your updated ad. As a client that is a sub bottom that likes kink I would suggest a couple pictures with you wearing a little leather and a simple toy or two just to get the point across. I thought the text of your ad was great.

Thank you! I just got my first harness so going to work on photos of me in that

I am with the minority here. I think you may turn off a whole group of people if you are too obvious. Unless you feel this is he market you are best served meeting.

I personally enjoy the leather and rubber getting and "have sling will travel" is my motto....but this is just a small portion of my life and what I enjoy. I don't usually seek a pro for that scene. Although I am sure there is probably a big market for that.

I find the photos in ads that are overly leathery or of guys that advertise how MANLY they are to be a huge turn off for me. I tend to avoid them when considering a pro. I would rather a guy that hints at it and we have a discussion about it. Again I know there are tons of men that feel the opposite. I also think it depends on how kinky you are looking to get.

I find guys that say they have huge hands or something like that are hinting that they are into fisting. I think there are ways to get the message across without turning others off.

I would caution that too much on one direction would push another group away.

Have you considered running a second ad as a tester with the leather and fetish photos for a short time just to see what kind of response you get? I know that costs money but lots of companies run tester ads in small markets to see how the public reacts. You may get a huge reaction and want to aim your marketing that way or you may get lots of likes but no traffic.

One other thing. I caution you about having photos with too much kink in them and your face. You work full time for another company. Social network pictures tend to bite people in the ass. You may not have issues with your current job but a future job may do internet searches that could be problematic.

Yea I know your advertising as an escort but that may be easier to explain away or harder to find. Just something to consider.

Ok now everybody can attack me for the above statement.

Im heavily into it and still attract vanilla clients. Leave some mystery to it, don't post pics but just list out what you have that way you won't lose anyone and attract a different clientelle as well. If someone likes it hardcore and you list out 'tie up leather hood with removable eyewear and gag' 'leather harness' they'll know what it is.

I don't think one pic out of a dozen would do any harm. IronMaus advertises with some kink pics and I was hesitant to reach out to him thinking he may be a one-trick-pony (sorry :D). A quick email exchange confirmed he wasn't and he makes for a quite nice, relatively vanilla BFE.

Regarding the alter ego, "Marketing 101" says: just don't oversell it and you will be able to balance both types of services quite nicely! :)

To quote myself and phrase it a bit differently "undersell". Actually the first BDSM escort that I hired worked in marketing and he also had an association with Mr. S in San Frsncisco among others and as such owned virtually every BDSM accoutrement known to man. When I stated that I was surprised that he had such a plethora of equipment his response was my marketing 101 comment above. The difference was he only offered BDSM services and still decided that the undersell approach was the best thing to do!

I think that's a good move. Many don't consider a harness to be a fear factor. In fact it is a fascination with most guys. It is not gear in the sense of a flogger or a paddle. It's just window dressing and is something that many vanilla guys use in their ads... In other words it's s form of an erotic fashion statement that spells out masculinity and is not necessarily related to pain and S&M. Still it has a strong subliminal effect to those looking for such a scene. The same would be true for any other leather wear such as armbands, wristbands, caps, etc.

Now if you take a pic wielding a single tail whip while wearing said harness that could be a problem. However, we all know that you're certainly not going there! LOL!

Looking forward to seeing the new pics!

I just want to know that whatever my particular kinks and/or fetishes are, the escort will let me know, clearly and in advance, if he is into it, somewhat into it, or at least will participate in. The worst feeling is to leave a session thinking I'm a weirdo or something. I get enough of that in every day life.

Yeah! Some guys advertise and have no clue! A number of years ago I contacted a guy and when I got specific about what he was capable of doing and how much equipment he had his reply was, "We're gonna have fun!" I asked for some specifics and again the response was, "We're gonna have fun!" Well fortunately I had my own toys with which to have fun as he had none and had no clue. As such I was able to salvage the session.

Incidentally, never think that you are a weirdo @Becket ! And even in your daily life! If someone thinks that you are weird, crazy, insane, or whatever it's THEIR problem! Believe me! It's THEIR issue, not yours! If something floats your boat go for it! Heaven knows I have bumped into quite a number of people over the years who are into things much stranger than I would think of doing. It boils down to what ever floats YOUR boat.

HELL YEAH!!!! Well said WG! :D

I personally wear being weird and quirky as a badge of honor:cool: and maybe a bit as a way of making others venture out of their comfort zone to interact with me.;)

Emphasize what you are good at. But for me, if an escort does both kink and the vanilla BFE I like the fetish info subtle or implied. I'm a vanilla kind of guy. But for escorts who specialize in a particular kink(s) the ad should be more direct and informative.
