I often login in to my rentmen.com profile to check my statistics and to see who saw me. I have questions/comments about the who saw me link.

 

I have noticed many of the same guys repeatedly visiting my profile on a regular basis, going on several months now, but have never contacted me. Does this happen to others? What is your take on it? Does any one ever reach out to the guys that visit their profile with a message such as "I noticed you have visited my profile a few times, can I answer any questions'? I did do this one time after noticing a guy visiting my profile everyday for a week straight and the response was "I have no questions, I just can't stop looking at your pictures". I replied thanks, if you would like to meet please let me know, never hearing from him, however he still visits my profile daily. Of course I find it flatering that he likes my pictures but at the same time I am not benefiting from him looking at my pictures daily. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this and how you handle it. I often wonder if these serial profile views are the same guys that call or text you trying to have phone sex/sexting with you.

Before Rentboy went down who here browsed on Rentmen raise your hand. Okay let's just say that 15 of you raised your hands lol. My point is that when rent boy was alive rent men was really nothing more than a glorified hook up /social site. From 2014 to 2015 I got MAYBE 5 clients from the site in total, now all new clients come thru there. There really is no other place to go browse that's on a level Rentmen is. So now you have legit hirers, the guys who used it as a social platform and new guys who joined the site, for a small fee, to look at nude pics, homemade videos, porn clips etc. If you're an escort with tons of jack off material on your profile And not getting any calls, now you know why. How many times have you passed by something in life you couldn't afford but admired? Same logic. You have to remember as much as Rentmen is there to provide you with a platform for services they also are providing all those Rentmen premium guys who view your profile with content. It's a double edge sword but I have no horrible complaints anymore.

It doesn't make me uncomfortable, I just have this image in my mind of being used to get these guys off, . I wasn't aware about the more views, and I surely don't mind my profile being viewed, its why I frequently check. I have been doing this for a long time, and I know many games come with it and I have no patience for them and just can't help but wonder if this is another part of the game. I have used the block button on occasion, not for just frequent views but for other reasons. My original post comes from a BAD experience I had with a frequent viewer, who contacted me to meet via text and phone, set up a meeting an hour away for him not respond to phone calls or text once I arrived at his location, which I was skeptical about just knocking on the door. My gut told me not to go see this guy, something was shady but typical me, giving the benefit of the doubt! I never heard from this guy again and wasted 2hrs of my life, lol

 

As for your final point, I am usually spot on as it relates to guys that are playing games when texting or calling, but my weakness is I always try not to base things on past experiences and often give people the benefit of the doubt, which usually doesn't work out.

That is one of the best things of this forum, it allows clients and escorts to fit in each other's shoes.

As a client, I check the same profiles many times. I cannot hire as often as I'd like, so each time deserve a lot of consideration. Going through the profiles I like is part of that process. I check the private pictures looking for face pictures. I'm only interested in the interviews videos, not in the private ones with sexual performances. I love porn, but I can get much better stuff in pornhub for free.

RentMen has been my preferred site to hire from for a long time (long before the demise of RB). I like the extensive list of "preferences" (which was better before they removed them from the individual profiles made you use the search filters). I have hired over a dozen guys from the site, about 5 are regulars. In several instances, I was on the fence about a prospect when I received messages saying that they had looked at my client profile (which is free, and I would encourage other clients to use) and suggested we would be compatible. This opened a line of communication, which resulted in an appointment. I have also on occasion suggested that an escort look at my profile and let me know if they thought we would be a good match. They shoot back a quick reply saying yes, or everything except... Once or twice I have gotten a reply saying "yes I'm into all that", the problem being that they haven't looked at my profile (which I can see just as you can see who looked at your profile) Which gives me a heads up that I'm dealing with someone lacking simple honesty, and have encountered someone I will not hire. That is just part of the job. Some people will constantly look at your pics, take screen shots of them, collect them. That's the polite ones. The less polite will call you or email you every now and then to "enquire about your services" but really just to listen to your voice. It's pretty easy to learn to identify those down the road.

 

I don't email them or acknowledge them in any way. It they want to have a look, by all means, have a go a it. It's part of my job.

 

To the ones who call or email often, I will write something like:

You might be finding that many escorts are not responding and you might be assuming that they are sending the message that you are too fat or too ugly or too something for them to be interested. That might not be the case.

 

If I get a hundred clicks on a day, I will not send a thank you note for looking at my profile. This is not a dating site, it's an advertising site. Even if I only got five views per day I would still not contact or thank any of them because as I said before that feels to much like soliciting, being a hustler and going for the hard sell.

Just a quick PSA - you can turn off whether or not people are notified when you visit your profile. It's in the Dashboard under "my profile visibility". I often look at escort's profiles even though the possibility of actually meeting them is slim due to location, timing, finances or because the guy seems to be out my league. There have been two times that I actually contacted an escort and was unable to follow though. I felt really badly about wasting his time, although both guys were perfect gentlemen.
