How far will an escort travel for an appointment?

A very well known escort I've been wanting to see was visiting a city about 30-40 minutes away by car. With L.A. traffic it could even be more. He was only doing outcalls and indicated he only had a few hours to see clients the one day he'd be in town. Just curious - how far will an escort travel for an appointment and when does travel time enter in to the price of the session?

In LA traffic, I think that is to far to ask him to travel unless you were paying from the moment he left where he was staying.

Years ago, I was in Orange County and arranged for an LA escort to spend several hours with me at my hotel. He left early, kept me posted on his progress, ran into traffic hell, and arrived almost 3 hours later than we originally planned. I cannot imagine anyone would risk crossing town for a one-hour appointment given the potential risk. Since it was a more lucrative multi-hour appointment, he was ok with the agreed fee. I added a travel tip to the tab when it came time to settle. He was very good and worth the wait! :D

Would a Los Angeles escort arrange a 2 - 3 hour Palm Springs session considering the distance? (This is an in-general type of question as I realize each worker may be different.)

I've scheduled 2 guys from San Diego to meet me in Palm Springs for 2-3 hour appointments. So, some are willing.

As a sidebar to this discussion I'll mention that I don't consider hiring an escort who only does out calls, as much as i might want to see him. The logistics in LA (my home area) are so uncertain that it is next to impossible to stick to a time plan. I can't ask my date to spend potentially many extra hours getting to me if the traffic is bad, without fair hourly compensation, which my budget can't handle. Instead, I look for an "in call" situation, make the date, travel to the escort's area hours ahead, and wait in a convenient spot until show time. Thus puts any wasted time on retired me rather than the working guy. I use the extra time to study Japanese, read, shop or see a film. He never needs to know and I arrive at his place exactly on time. I might also mention that I have an idee fixe about being late.

I've had a few escorts volunteer to travel from LA to San Diego. We scheduled our appointments at times when traffic could be light and we both agreed that we would be flexible on start times. That said, I would not expect a guy to travel to me, as he will spend at least 4 hours round-trip driving.

This is interesting because it appears many escorts, at least the ones I cruise on Rentmen, will list Orange County, San Diego, and even Palm Springs as 'travel' or 'available in' locations when they are based in LA. But traffic is a huge issue, especially when you are horny :) I usually do what glennnn does, and go to the escort.

I did have a regular come down and meet me in Anaheim a few months ago - October I think - and it took him forever to get there from WeHo. Gave me time to set the equipment up, however ;) I tried to tip him extra, he wouldn't take it. It just happened to be a particularly bad traffic day and our immediately after-work time was indeed a bad choice.

The bottom line is, for the LA area at least, both escort and client must be sensitive to and as savvy as possible about the effects of traffic.

Funny. I'm in L.A. this weekend, and I contacted an escort who usually listed San Diego as his home base, with L.A. as travel or available locations. During my layover on the way to L.A., I saw that his rentmen ad had changed to listing L.A. as his home location, so I texted him asking if he was available that weekend. I even followed up once I was checked into my West Hollywood hotel, but he never responded. When I checked his rentmen ad later that night, it was changed back to list San Diego as his home. I sent him a text apologizing if I had misunderstood his location and availability, but I'm positive I saw what I saw. Go figure.

I don't think most LA escorts would be willing to come to Palm Springs unless it is for a long appt or they have something else they plan to do in PS in addition to the appt. After all, under the best of circumstances, he will spend 4-5 hrs traveling back and forth, and how often do the best of circumstances occur in southern CA?

I agree that it makes things easier in LA when the escort can host. The travel time is on me and I don't have to worry about compensating the escort for it. But I've found escorts in LA are willing to travel and don't demand extra compensation most of the time. This is an expensive city to live alone in so many escorts can 'thost and just accept the long travel times as part of doing business here.

My place in LA is about 35 mins from WeHo and it can take me or my companions 3x as long with bad traffic. If I'm meeting someone, I try to book a hotel that is conveniently located for both of us. Most of my guys have roommates. I also feel more comfy in a place neutral to us both where we don't have to worry about interruptions. I either use the day-use hotel site or hotel tonight. I get great rates if I plan ahead.

I'm kind of like Truereview. I live a couple hours outside of L. A. but work in Anaheim and Burbank when I work. Most L.A. escorts won't drive to Anaheim.....traffic, traffic....so I usually get a hotel/motel room for the night just the meet in near Hollywood, which makes it convenient for hires. I like neutral play places too.

And you don't have to wash the towels and sheets lol

Sexy time is fun but for me there's something really intimate about napping with another guy all cuddled up and spooning.

Hugs,

Greg

Two queen beds is my usual request. One for sexy time, followed by hot showers and cuddle time on the other bed :)

Room service if you behave exceptionally well ;)

That's how I usually travel as well. But afterwards if the guy has a wonderful scent I'll swap out the pillows on the other bed.

If it were me, I probably would. But distances in California like has been said, are over exasperated by the utter bogginess of the traffic there. However, depends where. I made it from Burbank to Bakersfield with little traffic. Burbank to Anaheim was hell. Timing makes a difference too. Schedule things after 7 pm and it's less likely an issue.

I have often placed ads in cities up to 100 or so miles away that I'd be willing to travel to. Sometimes that crosses into other states. Hell, I have often traveled over 350 miles outside of where I already traveled to, for an overnight appointment.

So, there really is no limit. Everyone is different. Some escorts have cars, others don't. Some may think 20 miles is a long way, or for road warriors like me...200 miles is a Sunday trip that I'd be happy to see a client for. And with gas prices at bottom of the barrel prices (pun intended), 100 miles to see a client would only require some advance notice and a added compensation for the drive.
