I've noticed, when walking my dog on garbage pickup morning, that the guys down the street could pull this off with ease.

Several years ago, my partner and I decided to try a new decor for the tree. We went out and bought a variety of the small individual liquor bottles, wrapped a pipe cleaner from the neck of the bottle and hung them on our tree in place of ornaments. The tree is set near our bar area, so when we have company, we supply the mixers, and everyone is welcome to choose their favorite and make their own drink.

 

It was a bit expensive the first year, but each year since we only have to replenish it, which isn't too bad.

 

Our tree is very popular among our friends.
