How often do "no-show" happen? Are there any cities particularly infamous for flaky guys?

I'd rather talk for just a couple of minutes to get a feeling instead of engaging in endless emails/texts. I'm sure you know that many of them handle dozens of emails per day with similar questions, that's certainly part of the job and it could be annoying, you are no the only one emailing similar kind of questions.

 

To each his own, and I hope the guys you picked have been worth it!

 

 

Some times I get upset when escorts think I am playing games just because I ask many questions before making a call and scheduling a meeting, but I understand them when they tell me the crazies they have to deal with.

Not to stop Devon from chiming in himself, but Pretty easy to find out why. Atlanta is all about faking it until you can make it. It's the LA of the south. Over entitled people, they have a bit of money but they're stingy with it, thinking they're the shit but in reality they ain't shit. And when they think they're the shit, they're going to feel they're above paying for pleasure. And like Los Angeles, there's always a steady dumping of escort ads.

 

Dallas become over saturated after the recession, so while the client pool dropped off, the escort market exploded.

Atlanta is a totally phony place. It's all about finding someone whose a bigger sucker than you and thinking you're some big entrepreneur. Lived there. Hated it mostly because of the people--so did many, many people I knew there. Most of us have left.

 

I actually have to drive thru Atlanta Everytime I come to Orlando from Nashville for the last 2 years. I've thought about stopping thru occasionally, but I really don't bother. It could be some fun outside of escorting, but I've not yet really felt like stopping over since a rather disappointing visit a few years back.

 

I'm surprised Orlando and pretty much the whole state of Florida hasn't been mentioned. I've already discussed this a few months ago, but this place is ever tricky. Last time I was here in September things were okay. And only because of 2 overnight clients out of millions showed up. This time it's dead, and already had a few people in one weekend screw me around. Instead of coordinating a specific time, people want to bounce around with the dates and time, and don't answer responses all day when I try to schedule a time. I don't know if Black Friday and Cyber Monday has some effect...

So visited Dallas this past week for 2 days... I had been once before and it was kind to me back then. This time... not so much. I literally had an 80% Flake / No Show rate on Friday. Back to Back to Back to Back...

 

They all confirmed with me the night before.. and then confirmed with me the morning of... but when the appointed time came around... no show.. and radio silence. Ok.. so one flake is normal and expected.. but a bunch all on the same day. I was perturbed.

 

Today, I meet with a wonderful new client in Baltimore and told him my woes... poor poor Alec after all.. and he said... oh.. you don't know about the notorious Dallas Escort Mafia? I said no! Apparently, and only really in Dallas, the local escorts collude together to book appts. with the traveling escorts and then obviously no show.. in an effort to encourage them to not come back.

 

So two questions:

 

1. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Specifically in Dallas or are there other places?

 

2. Lets say that this is true... If I went back to Dallas and asked a client for a $50 show of good faith paypal deposit (which I hate doing and only ever make people do for plane tickets).. Would that turn you off as a potential real client? I suspect so.... so then what to do? Let the local escorts win and just not visit that market? Just suck it up and know that Dallas will have a high flake average?

I'd like to restart this subject on here based on your bad luck visiting Dallas, one more thing, all the folks who flaked on you are losers, they wanted you but couldn't afford you!

 

Atlanta is ricockulous. So is Dallas.

Curse/evil of many, consolations of the fools... I know it's no consolation but I heard complaints about Dallas, Atlanta, New Orleans from other escorts too.

Isn't Miami/Fort Lauderdale a good city for escorts?

I have my eye on a couple (particularly this pocket Latin ) but I must admit, SoBe is hopping with hot and willing tourists and locals - particularly bc the weather has been sorta weird. New Year's Eve here is my fave! Last year, I met a Canadian/Australian couple who had me ring in the new year at the top of my lungs, they had to shove things in my mouth to keep me quiet. ;)

He may be a pocket, but he is sporting what looks like a lovely thick rocket! ;)

 

I understand what you mean on hot and willing locals/tourists -- just remember its impolite to not sample everything on the buffet, so to speak :D

 

I'm very proud that you showed our Canadian/Australian tourists a fine time! One can only imagine what things where shoved in your mouth...and elsewhere -- and whether they succeeded in keeping you quiet or merely just muffled things a tad for the neighbours. When I was originally active years ago, there was an Australian working gent in NYC - my first interaction with someone from that continent and at that first session, my oh my, I wouldn't be surprised if they heard me in Melbourne! The gent was quite blessed, to say the least. Needless to say, I was a repeat client thereafter. Alas, he has long since retired and I haven't had any from Australia since a rugby tourney a few years back. Memories. Where's that whiskey bottle??

Everything is going to be subjective. There simply is no escort utopia. While Kevin Slater may say it's a good market, me and Killian James would beg to differ.

 

I can and do certainly find clients in Miami/Ft Lauderdale, but it's all variable

Regarding Miami - I read a lot from clients complaining of getting ripped off by fakers. I wonder if it's because the clients tend to be mostly tourists? Or maybe this is a false impression.

 

I think it's because there are some folks on here obsessed with back page looking for a great deal or a diamond in the rough.
