Good looking guy and while statistically he may have been the best, he was a divisive presence on a team that needed a leader and a team that wound up losing 20 more games than predicted at the beginning of the season despite a minimum of players losing time. If he was the most valuable player it was as a Met, as his inability to lead the Nationals gave the Mets the pennant and a shot at the World Series.

That is complete and total bullshit. He was not a divisive presence on a team that needed a leader. He actually was quite a leader at the young age of 22. What do you want him to do - act like a major league veteran of 10 or 15 years? Papelbon and a couple of others on the team were far more divisive than Bryce.

 

I just wish he'd lose that ugly beard.
