Off topic, in Australia small 3.5 metre aluminium boats are widely called 'tinnies'. In a documentary about the Murray-Darling River system, the crew were going to use a beautiful 3 or 4 m wooden boat, and the presenter said something like 'We'll just get in this woodie and row out..' and stopped himself. 'That didn't quite come out right'!
