Do you reply to text messages while having dinner or an overnight with a client?

Interesting to hear others opinions on this. I'd say that a third of my meetings (mostly 2 hours) have included some texting/talking by my companion.

{On an overnight several months ago I listened to my companion talk to another client on the phone for 30 minutes about a proposed trip to Vegas including some steamy discussion about what they would do. I think it would have gone on longer had I not turned on the TV and slowly increased the volume.}

Thats cutting into your time you payed for. I hope you communicated with him that what he did was very rude.

Greg

You're 100% right (bigger issues arose in that case but that's a whole different story).

The thing that is interesting to me about the discussion here is that real professionals - the guys who take what they do seriously, focus on the client and truly deliver a superior experience- would never consider mentally disengaging to attend to other business in a disruptive way. That's the difference between a Nordstrom experience and a Walmart experience.

For me the combination of someone who is a real pro AND with whom I have really good chemistry has been elusive.

That is gross in so many levels! It's incredible what some people get away with.

Even if I were only concerned with the bottom line, I would never try to respond to one client while with another client. It doesn't matter if I'm on an hour long gig or a two-week trip with a client. It's a stupid move financially bc I would lose more business than I would gain. I don't need to check my phone in the hopes that a new client is looking to meet right after my current appointment is finished. I've already filled that time slot, and the slot after that, and the slot after that. There's plenty of business from people willing to book in advance. The now or never appointment seekers are duds more often than not, and I'm not sorry when I miss them.

I think there is always proportionality to everything and for most things that is something an escort will have to decide. For sessions where you are consistently expected to be in the presence of the client and giving them your 100% attention (excepting bathroom breaks) then an escort should not be communicating with other clients. I suppose this would be 1 - 4 hour appointments, for example. I would imagine after that it is going to be an all day or overnight session and then in that case I believe that an escort deserves some down-time (sort of like breaks mandated by state law :) ) so an escort has the right to take calls or texts. If an escort was texting while with me for two or three hours I would be pissed. But if he called someone or answered texts while on an overnight, godspeed. In some cases, I would be glad.

Texting or talking on the phone when you are in the company of others, regardless of whether it's with clients, escorts, friends, or lovers, is bad manners. It's acceptable to take a little break to return calls or text messages if it is an overnight or longer session, but in general I find it insulting if my date is texting other people during our time together.

Texting /phoning in front of client is totally disrespectful to the client. But I know that for meetings maybe longer than an hour or maybe an overnight... and definitely the very first meeting,.... I've seen escorts discreetly go into bathroom upon arrival and text..... I call it 'safe texting'.... just letting another person know that everything is OK and that he hasn't been hired by a distant relative of Jack the Ripper or Charles Manson... haha.

I recently had an over night out of state (had a total blast!) And I texted my friend who lived near by that I landed safely and texted her again from the hotel lobby. But no texts or phone calls when I was on the clock. I again texted her when I got to the airport after the appointment that I was safe and heading back to Chicago.

Hugs,

Greg

So far, Ive been lucky to have very courteous and considerate companions. I did have an overnighter where my companion gently awoke me from my sleep (in a very sexy manner), and he mentioned he needed to check in with a buddy, and whether I would mind if he used his phone for a few minutes. I didn't care, it was a brief call and then he came back to bed and cuddled. I thought that his upfront approach was better than trying to sneak in a phone call or text. I've had to make calls and send texts while having a longer engagement. Why not just extend the same courtesy to your compas as long as it isn't abused and/or ruin the mood? How does it go....communication is at the heart of everything?

This raises a good question for this time of the year.

How many of you have thought "Whew that was close"?

Do you think you may crossed paths with or met the next Jack the Ripper, Manson, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Freeway Killers, Jeffery Dahmer? Or some other specter which may be unknown yet.

Do you worry?

What actions do you take to be safe?

I always leave a text with 1 or 2 people I trust on my where abouts. Also often times I use social media to check in at places. If I'm meeting someone at their hotel I make sure to make contact with the front desk. I'll usually ask where the elevator is or something along those lines and wiah them a good night on my way out.

Greg

I've actually just returned from a friend's house who was having me over for drinks. It was so much fun until about an hour in where he suddenly, I just don't know why, started chatting with someone on whatsapp! Then his boyfriend came home and the boyfriend whipped out his phone and started watching video's on it. And there I sat, with my tea and no one to talk to. I found it all incredibly rude.

I don't even take out my phone when a friend of mine is e.g. in the kitchen or bathroom and I'm waiting for them to come back into the room, I just look at their book shelf or DVD's or something (it's fun to learn about someone's interests that way).

Why US and Canada only? Don't non-tollfree numbers work from any country?

No, they don't. If you look at your credit card, you'll see "In the US, call 800-" ... "Otherwise, call 312 ..."

I learned this a very hard way: THE fashion weekend in Paris. We had a hotel but no one could tell us where it was. We had an 800 number and got to the Post Office in time to learn you couldn't make the call. Finally went to the Paris Tourist Information, where I was told they had no "ruuuums", even all the way out to Givenchy (Monet's pad). I told her I had a "ruum" and gave her the name of the hotel. She flipped the hotel listing guide to page 31 of 32, tapped it and said "ICI!" and we were off and running.

Ever since then, I always like to know when and where I'm spending the night. Especially after the German conductor tried to throw us of the Wagons-Lit because he had misplaced our tickets AND our passports ... and my German was better than his English. A Night to Remember, indeed. More like High Anxiety.
