I don't think it will have much effect. Being in the middle of the week I don't think many people will travel to DC for the Pope. Maybe I'm mistaken but just my guess.

I'm personally avoiding DC during the days he's in town like the plague. I live just outside of the District and have enough headaches as it is without a whole bunch of stuff shut down and the few remaining roads being backed up as far as the eye can see. If I see anyone, it will not be downtown!

But based on a small Midwestern town that hosted Donald trump and Hillary Clinton last month...the normally affordable hotel rates went berserk, and a couple times Priceline had no hotels available. So I can imagine DC hotels are all sold out and in the thousands of dollars per night.

You will have a lot of Cardinals and priests traveling into town so I would imagine that it will be good. Of course, it you were underage it would be even better. (just kidding!)

Funny, but I had a phone conversation with an escort just the other day and he mentioned that one of his best clients was a priest, but he was to quote a "cool priest"! My response was, "If he knows you you he's gotta be cool!"

 

The client in question was not from DC and I got the impression that he was probably an Episcopal priest as he was also married, and I assumed married to a woman.

Well the Pope's visit could not have hurt too much since there is a very large number of visiting escorts to DC this week.
