I'm personally looking for the one with the best perks for 100+ nights per year.

Are there chains that are particularly good or bad? Or even particular properties that are good/bad? Too expensive or too cheap such that clients feel weirded out?

To start, I would recommend against the holiday inn toronto downtown bc the fuzz conducts stings there.

In my years of traveling for business, I have found that the "best hotels" often vary by city. That being said, I think that Starwood may offer you the most selection with their multiple brands. I personally often use Hyatt Hotels, and have found all of their hotels and various brands to be uniformly good.

Escorts seem to like Kimpton.

PRICEY!!!

A bit off topic but does anyone have any recommendation for hourly rate or lower cost hotels in NYC. There are some escorts that I would like to see but they only do outcalls and having them to my residence is not an option.

Are there no bath houses in NYC anymore?

I'm not an escort but I'll chime in anyway. I hope you get more recommendations from actual experience because that's the best way to get an overview, but failing that, the programs have detailed info on their web pages. That is more tedious because you have to compare minute details and decide which ones are the more useful for you. Anyhoo...

When I travelled in the States for work, I liked Embassy Suites (free breakfast and free happy hours) so I was in the Hilton program. The Hilton Hawaiian Village had an outstanding military rate so that helped too. I would then look for other Hilton brands in places where there was no Embassy Suites property. Never quite got to 100 nights though! I seem to remember that Hilton gave you both points in their program and airline miles on the same stay. I haven't looked into their high tier memberships though. Now I'm in IHG (the Intercontinental Hotels program - Holiday Inns, Crowne Plaza) because that is a good choice for me when I stay in Sydney.

As was said earlier, hotels chains will be better in some cities than in others, so using a single chain may not work, but with over 100 nights you could probably get into the premium tier with two chains. Hope that helps, Mike.

I would say Marriott and Hilton have the most hotels...whereever you need to be, you can find one nearby. Within a single chain you get more points for regular hotels (for Mariott: JW, Marriott itself, Courtyard, SpringHill) than you would staying in an extended stay (Residence Inn).

But Starwood is considerably more generous with points and suite upgrades. So if you travel mostly to big cities anyway, where all the major brands are well represented, I'd go with Starwood. (The Starwood family is Sheration, W, Westin, LeMeridien, Four Points, St Regis, and some others).

You also asked about specific hotels. For Dallas my #1 is Le Meridien (aka The Stoneleigh). It is right in heart of the upscale gay area, it's a nice historical hotel with some stature, yet affordable. I've met quite a few nice escorts and masseurs there.

Im not an escort, lol, but since I travel extensively for work, I thought I'd weigh in.

As far as Toronto goes, I hear the Eaton Chelsea is quite popular among escorts, especially local ones. It's walking distance from Remington, which is an all-nude strip club where the majority of the dancers are always looking to make extra cash and try to convince the patrons to hire them for a few hours outside of the club. They usually list a lot of rooms under their hidden deals at Expedia and Priceline for under $100. You have to be clever in trying to research to find out which one it is though since you won't know the name of the hotel you just booked until you pay for it.

There are 2 that I am aware of, East Side and West Side Clubs. Never really considered that an option. I have been to Club Ft Lauderdale but had never considered hosting an escort there. I would need to find out a bit more about these places in NY though. Anybody have any first hand experience with NY bath houses? What do the escorts on the Forum think about being asked to meet at a bath house?

I can tell you from experience that some will meet there and some won't. I've used bath houses-not particularly because I wanted too but because they were the main and simplest options for me in Dallas and Seattle. When I was hiring I, for the most part wasn't able to host an outcall, and in any case I didn't actually live in either Dallas or Seattle but in nearby cities where a lot of escorts that wouldn't have wanted to drive to. Many reputable escorts that couldn't host didn't mind that I wanted to meet there. But some escorts had an attitude about meeting there. When I did bring the subject up, I always stressed I would get a private room as I wasn't interested in group sex. I also told them I would pay their way in.

I've found Starwood's loyalty program to be better than Hilton's. To marylander's point, I have yet to stay at a Starwood that requires a keycard to operate the elevator. Half of the DoubleTree properties I've stayed at require it, but none of the regular Hiltons I've used have.

In LA, I'm not a fan of the Westin Bonaventure. Many of the rooms are tiny and are oddly configured. Now that the renovations are complete, I can recommend the Sheraton Downtown LA. If memory serves, they have privileges at the adjoining LA Fitness in lieu of a fitness center. Another cool, but independent, hotel is the "LA Hotel Downtown." My only gripe is they are a little out of the way, being as they are toward the north end of the Financial District on Figueroa. I would stay away from the LA Omni. Weird location and not a particularly nice hotel.

Hotel wise it varies too much by city and I tend to be minimalistic when it comes to hotels. I usually just book everything through Hotels.com, accumulate the free nights and get 7% cash back through one of the cash back portals.

Airlines are a different story though. #AmericanAirlinesFanBoy

Agree with Kurtis, Hotels.com is going to give you the best bang fo...it's going to be the best choice. They have varying star-levels depending on your needs and the free nights really add up. Also you can quickly gain higher status on Hotels.com which leads to better flexibility and better support. Outside of that I would suggest Hilton cause they have the most properties and an okay loyalty program, Marriott is probabl the next best choice but I know nothing about their rewards.

SPG absolutely is the best loyalty program (and I would argue Starwood has better properties than the other chains) but there just aren't enough locations unless you only travel through, and stay in big cities.

Here's a tip: Go to Hotels.com to find a bunch of hotels and then check the hotel chain's website to see if there is a lower rate available. Believe it or not, sometimes you can save if you book direct.

Agreed. The hotel's website will almost always match the price found at agencies like hotels.com, travelocity, expedia, etc. Also, when booking direct, you can often see a AAA discount which is not available at the agencies. The AAA rate will sometimes be lower, but will almost always offer better cancellation policies -- often allowing you to cancel until 6pm on the day of check-in.

FWIW the inside of Sheraton is probably just fine but the outside is a construction zone and quite a loud one at that. Think jackhammering and the dropping of cinderblocks into metal dumpsters. The Sheraton/LA Fitness/Macy's plaza ("The Bloc") will probably be quite nice when it is done but I'd wait till it's done to stay there.

I used to stay in big fancy hotels, but unless I just feel like a nice pool (which is usually never nowadays since there's always 50million kids in the water) and being around a bunch of people and looking at the skyline...I usually try to stay in something mid-scale. I don't get any complaints.

I know I don't earn points, but when I want to stay at Hilton, Sheraton or Mariott, I just use one of the 3rd party booking sites..unless its off season and breakfast is included in the rate.

Oh, the inside is very nice. When I stayed there, the facade was off the lower portion of the building and the "lobby" was about the size of a small room. There was one elevator for the entire hotel and getting to the "lobby"meant going through a maze of plywood. It was awful.

Yes, the rate can be lower, even more so if you know any corporate codes, but then you lose the benefit of Hotels.com loyalty program which has lots of value in the long run (changes, cancellations, etc.) plus the value of the free night you get is based on the average of the previous ten nights so in that instance if the rate is just a few bucks different it is worth it.

All very good points.

Typically, I end up saving money using the corporate discount codes or my motor club (AAA) discount when I stay at Hilton, Marriott, Choice (Comfort Inns and Quality Inns, among others) and Wyndham. AAA rate rules usually (but not always) allow cancellation and changes up to and including the day of check-in. However, there have been times when I have saved money using the Hotels.com rate. Another option I've used is my employer's corporate travel site. Our travel policy allows us to use the company's airline and hotel discounts for leisure travel, so I check that site as well as Hotels.com and the hotel's site.

What do you mean by that? I have never heard of a prostitution sting in Canada. Legally it would not hold ground. Are you talking drug related crimes?

I saw it on the CBC or some other Canadian tv channel in a documentary. I think it was designed to target sex trafficking there.
