What's up west coasters?

I'm in Seattle for the next two weeks and want to continue my streak of gym attendance.

What's the best place? Bang for your buck?

I'm staying on Capitol Hill and so far 24 Hr Fitness and Gold's look most appealing.

There's also the YMCA day pass... Love the steam room there ;)

I guess it depends on what you want out of the gym! You have already mentioned the steam room at the YMCA, so assume that has some extra appeal :D

I suggest you ask Juan as he knows everything about Vancouver, and he could steer you in the right direction.

The steam room is great incentive to get me to the gym but ultimately, too distracting. *puts blinders on*

I go for the free weights, squat cages, benches, captain's chair and weighted pulleys for core strength.

You actually can get like a 5 day free pass at the YMCA. I had an escort use the one at Seatac once-I know that's not the one you would be going to. But he told me it was a very nice place. So if the YMCA in Capitol Hill is good and free, I'd go there.

Gold's is not PC in California. They were on the wrong side of the Prop 8 controversy.

It may have cost them enough that they decided to change. Here in SF, the local franchise pulled out of the Gold's brand and established an independent brand, Fitness SF, because of the Prop 8 position.

I didn't know anything about this. Here's an article that explains this.
