I do not mind texting but I do prefer to hear the person I am going to meet. Does he have a deep sultry voice that gets me hard listening to it? Does he have a sexy accent? A big muscled man with a high pitched voice is not for me. I find the voice body dichotomy too distracting and it is just likely to make me laugh at a time when I do not want to be laughing. The voice is very important to me as I tend to close my eyes for extended periods during the session and so a sexy voice is almost as important as a sexy look.

I prefer setting up appointments via a series of text messages or email. By the time I make contact, I've usually done enough research to be comfortable that I'll like the guy, and I enjoy the anticipation that comes during the first impression. When the first impression is made by phone, I feel like it can be thrown off by so many external factors, like background noise or context.

An ad that I saw stated that the escort wanted anyone interested to text or call but that he would NOT answer an email. What does that mean (other than the literal) if anything?

I can only guess, similar to blocked calls, they assume people sending an email will not be serious and/or they can't get email immediately and are trying to funnel serious clients towards other forms of communication.

I accept any type of communication but I understand why some people may limit it to certain types. Since texting is a relatively discreet form of communication it makes it easier to respond to sensitive topics while out in public or with other people. If you call (or leave a voicemail) it can take much longer to respond, and is not easy to do without excusing yourself from whatever is going on. If it is a time sensitive request, it is sort of weird when people send an email, but I understand client discretion too.

I don't have a cell phone with text capabilities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you really think everyone has the latest technology????

Not everyone embraces new technologies. Some of us are old farts that are technologically challenged. Some of the younger escorts are missing out on some significant $$ when they start limiting the ways they can be contacted by clientele. I've got a fair amount of disposal income that could support regular hires. But, if texting is that important to an escort, they'll not get any of my money.

While I'm not condoning always jumping to the next technology (I would still have my Sidekick if I could) I would argue that texting is fairly old (Europeans have had SMS since the 90s) and is considered valid business communication. People would look at you sideways if you said you didn't take calls, or your computer doesn't have email, and it's getting to that point. That being said, you could always get a google voice number and text from your computer if you don't/can't text from your phone, this also adds a level of privacy and discretion.

That's something I've considered. But, that would assume I'm always on my computer and would know I've received a text message. Again, there is NO smart phone to alert me when a text message is received.

When I'm at work I don't check personal e-mail and don't know that I've received a text message until I'm home from work and check that Google voice account. I still maintain that if an escort doesn't voice mail then they're not getting my business.

Oh this was strictly for extracurriculars, not necessarily something you would have to check or use regulary. I'm in the camp that if you want to make the sale you have to appeal to the customer (even if they are a technophobe ;))
