On the mobile version of RB, under the ad's pix you can select 1 - 5 stars. Anyone know what this does? It doesn't seem to get saved so therefore doesn't have much effect.

Does the escort see these? Maybe it's an application that never got fully implemented.

If you are logged in, select a number of stars, and add the escort to your so-called "hot list" the stars will be saved.

I don't even think you have to save them to your hot list. You just have to be logged in. It's free, and quite useful in a market like NYC where there's 450+ guys listed. You can block the ads you know you're definitely not interested in seeing again, instead of scrolling through all 450 each time. Did I mention it's free?

I tried that and, indeed, you are correct. I always save profiles to my hot list after I "star" them, so I was unaware of this feature. Thanks for the info. That will simplify my flagging procedure.

That is exactly what I do, in addition to hot listing the ads I am very interested in. I typically give one star to a guy who I am interested in but have not hired. I also use the "Note" feature to record details I don't wish to forget. When I meet a guy, I increase (or decrease) the number of stars based on my experience and change the note. For example, my favorite escort as well as second- and third favorite escorts all received five stars. Those I definitely will not hire go on the "block" list and everyone else just stays as they are.

 

I'd be happy to write up and post the use cases. Perhaps Mr Slater and I could partner in developing some pie charts to accompany them.
